Hand rolled but consistent with rebuilt ones with the same wire. Works great all the time as long as wattage is below 30W or so

Oddness indeed.

I see they upped it to the RTC chipset, so it should be very much in line with the code of its' little brothers (our OG VTCs don't have the new clock, but everything else with the updates).

Do you use, or can you try, Arctic Fox to see if the performance changes?
By all accounts... you should be able to just set the 80W max and just bang away at that 0.6 without much problem in TC.

eta: slow connection, I don't want to go searching.. did you say what temps you're using, getting, shooting for? I have two similar old builds ATM that need rewicking that have gone off the rails... one needs the temp very low (~360F) ad the other very high (~470F). It happens.

Maybe I'll rewick today. :D

I am using it between 185C and 195C depending on if I want more vapor or less. That should be around 365F or 385F. Not a problem as it works as expected. I have no issue with setting the wattage in a range that works with the TC. I never get burnt or dry hits, the wick even after a couple of weeks isn't scorched. If I let the tank run dry, the wick doesn't burn, it just stop producing vapor and goes into temp protection

Arctic Fox firmware changes it some but if the wattage is set high, it will still throttle and isn't great.

I will make a 26AWG coil in a week or so and see if it changes anything but I actually like the 27 AWG

Also have a coppervape skyline clone on its way. Will see if it does the same thing as the subtank
