Stain on Cotton

Found this stain on the wick in the morning. Is it burned cotton? It doesn't look like burned cotton. Can it be rust stain? The wick was wet with juice overnight. Can kanthal wire rust?

Coil gunk mixed with juice. My best guess as my wicks frequently have that amber look to them.

Another possibility is that your coil has a 'hot leg'.

That tends to happen when you let it sit over night with juice on it. Have a read on this. May be your screws. Just a thought as I am not 100% sure though.

The brown stain in the screw heads are just heated juice. They can be dapped off easily. So I think those are safe.

All of my wicks end up looking like that after a couple days, but I don't change the wick until I taste the flavor shifting.

No. It does not looks like rust at all.

ummm thats normal... keep vaping on it for about 8 more days and then see if its any different
