Wait, so a single tube is no longer $44.95?
Decided to bail on the stainless. I just bought a mini ProVari, and asked Apollo to send me a red instead.
now there saying there going to charge ME MORE $$?!!!!!!!!!??????????????
wth i ordered in FEB.!!!!!!!!!!
and now your thinking of charging me more money for something ive ALREADY PAID for and have been waiting 2 months for...
I'm guessing you'll get what you paid for. lol If any shenanigans were afoot, like them sending wrong color, we'd have heard about it. But since they do look so similar, offhand, I'd say that anyone who ordered steel and noticed any kind of bubbling or chipping (ie indications that it's plated, not solid steel) would be entitled to a replacement with steel or an auto refund, regardless of time table, because they didn't get what they paid more for.My guess is they'll be careful to keep them separated, and I have a feeling they probably can tell the difference, just cause they're so familiar with them. I'd think weight alone would be a good indicator.
The stainless steel model looks entirely different than the 'standard' model. There won't be any question which one you got (or get).
Edit: that site goes up and down, so the links might not load.
Thank you! Who needs chrome when solid stainless is an option? Copper is the thing. Next time you're chatting to Apollo for any reason, back me up on that, wouldja? lol Maybe we'll get lucky. PLUS>>. copper would actually be cheaper for them to make since they won't have do do the dipping or electroplating or whatever else they're doing for the chrome. Way less time intensive, too. I'm guessing making some sort of copper alloy (just to add a bit to the strength) would be just as cheap if not cheaper than the slightly soft all copper itself, since most alloy materials are cheaper, I believe. I'm not 100% sure about that, but have done a few things in the past that lead me to that line of thinking.
Gimpy, I'm sort of a tried and true noob helper. lol I've got two people i'm helping find their feet right now, so anything you need, feel free to track me down and ask, ok? You can pm me. I'm stuck home with my health so I'm around quite a bit, and my pms come to my email. You really can't go wrong with Lava Tube as first VV.. its a super intuitive simple pv. My first suggestion, which I think will make you feel muuuuuch better about your decision (and it was a great decision. I've tried a ton of machines and I just bought a stainless LT, myself) is to watch the PBusardo lava tube video. I'm not sure if you're a brand new vaper, or just new to vv. If you're a brand new vaper, he'll be talking about different cartos and ohms, so you might get confused when he starts with the charts. lol Don't worry about it. If you're an experienced vaper, and know what kind of cartos you like, that vid and those charts will tell you exactly how high in voltage the LT will let you go on your kind of hardware. Plus, your Stainless is a newer version, and will be even nicer than the one he's talking about. Anyway, here's link, and again, feel free to ask whatever you need. And if you're very new, lemme know, cause I wrote an intro 'guide to vaping' that might help you... lots of cool links, great vendors.. basically the culmination of my first year of vaping, and lots of step by step guidelines on how to fill/care for different cartos and links to vids showing you how. Anyway, I can shoot you a copy if you're very new and think it would help. I've been doing it close to 3yrs, btw.
