Hi, I would like to know were you can buy the mesh used in disposable dripping atomizers. I like there size better than a normal rda, and i am working on making one that is around the size of a carto, personal project and curiosity

Most online stores that stock kanthal for vaping also stock SS-mesh. It would help to know which country you live in so it would be easier to point you to a store that has it in stock with decent shipping times.

I have seen the mesh in the stores but will it work as well as the steel wool material

Do you mean the expanded nickel mesh, like in a 306 or 510?
Just use 250-350 SS mesh...it will work the same or better.

Because you oxidize it with a torch before you coil it.

we are talking about using mesh for wicking, right? when you said coil it i had some doubt.

i am not using the mesh in a genesis, i am using it wrapped around a coil in a cup to feed e liquid to the wick. as long as it doesn't touch the leads it will not short out. then again i have seen atomizers were the negative wire is wrapped in with the mesh, and it used the atomizer body as a negative connection since it is directly touching the mesh.

steel wool ought to be better than mesh, but I guess as the move has been away from mesh to cotton, we don't see steel wool.

either way, you have to oxidize with a torch to prevent shorts.

I've used it in a RSST, Taifun GT and as wick in an RDA (didn't work as well as I thought it would). There are some youtube videos that show how to properly set up SS mesh. The taste is very clean.
