Stardust noobie question

I apology for this post, as it probably has been asked and answered before, but when I did a search I got tons of results that all seemed to be more technical than my question.

I didn't realize that "Stardust" was a proprietary brand of yours and I ordered one from another vendor (Vixen Vapors), but since they call it a "Stardust" I'm guessing it's still your. I just ordered one to try on my eGo. I later saw the product on your site, where it's noted that the tubes have been reformulated. The one I ordered hasn't arrived yet, so I don't know if I'll receive the new kind or the old kind. I can't tell from their site which one it is. After I placed my order I read about the Stardust being incompatible with strong cinnamon and minty e-liquids (like my favorite RH Candy Cane). I'm wondering if the problem still exists with your reformulated tubes?

I'm not sure about cinnamon or mint, but I've used lemon and orange flavored juices that clouded and cracked other plastics without issue in the rebuildable stardusts I've bought here at GotVapes.

I'm using the rebuildables from gotvapes too and I use minty juices and wintergreen. I have no trouble with the tank. Gotvapes also sells a steel Stardust drip tip. It's fantastic and I highly recommend you get one of those too.

I haven't had any problems with mint in the rebuildable (modular) new stardusts. Cinnamon is a different story. the particular one I have didn't affect the tubes, but did melt the drip tip where it comes in contact with the juice. GV has a stainless steel drip tip available for the stardust.

Also, I can't tell you about how cinnamon juice from vendors other than the one I used would affect the tubes.

Melting the drip tip? Oh eek. Does it matter about the liquid being pg or vg? I have a straight cinnamon one from Liberty Liquid I like that's just pg.

No, pg or vg doesn't matter. It's believe the cinnamon oil they use in the flavoring.

GV ROCKS when it comes to listening to us I don't think it's the vg or pg. I think it's the flavorings. Some one who knows better will chime in for ya I'm sure. Don't be afraid of Gotvapes Stardusts cuz they are good ones

This will take care of a possible softening or melting tip...

Thanks for the info! I took your advice and bought a steel tip - sure enough, the Stardust's tip melted. The steel works great, but the black one looked nicer.

One other less important tip....Keep the little O-Ring off the plastic ones if you're done with them and save it. I was washing one of my metal ones off and I accidently rubbed the o ring off with my fingers when I was drying it with a paper towel. I dropped it on the carpet and then couldn't find it !! So I took an o ring off the plastic ones I had kept and WHA-LAA ! All Fixed ! I think the silver tip is pretty cool though. If I want colors for these I can always change the tank tube out for a different color. ( I use the rebuildable Stardusts ) Love my dusters for sure

Have you tried any of the 'Rebuildable' Stardusts ? I like those alot. Just change the heads or the tubes. They work great. Also on my favorite list at present time is the Kanger T2 with replaceable heads, the Hyper SRT (I believe is out of stock right now ?), and the Titan (which also can accept those steel stardust drip tips on it) to name a few Happy Shopping
