I am still fiddling around with my new Kgo 1100 battery, but I have discovered that I am not allergic to the PG (which is a relief because I had no 100% vg to try) but I believe I am allergic to the filling in the Boge LR cartos. Headaches, itching, major coughing--just an all around horrible experience. It took days to get my throat back to normal even with tons of water. As I result, I went back to analogs. I was ready to can the whole thing when I remembered I had ordered a couple of Stardusts 2.1-2.4ohm and decided I should try them.
So much better! I get great vapor, but I am still not getting the warm vape. Not an important thing for me, but my first experience with the Stardust was that I was not getting any flavor at all. I searched through the forums and came across someone else who said that the rubber tip and the tube--which I still don't understand which tube they were referring to--deplete the flavor of the juice. After I read that, I took off the rubber drip tip and had an even better vapor and the flavor really started to come through. I am not sure if I am getting the flavor off the sides from when I poured in the liquid or if the rubber drip tip is really affecting the flavor. Now I have to find something to replace the rubber drip tip. I had a drip tip that I used on the Boge carto, but it does not fit the Stardust. I love the Stardust--smooth and non corrosive to the throat--and think I will stick with them despite the bad reviews.
Questions-- Are there any tips I can use on it? Also, can I clean these or do they sell one with a replacement coil head? If it cannot be cleaned, about how long do they last and how do I tell if it time to move on to a new one? AND can I transport my Kgo with one on it or will it leak? Is it better to remove and carry each separately?
I like to think I am getting there, and these Stardusts were a life saver. Too bad I cannot use the Viva Novas on the Kgo--or at least that is what I read--although I don't understand why not. Many thanks for your responses!
