So after much ready and getting very impatiant to buy one I finally made the plundge and got myself a LT. I happen to find one that is the V2 version as it seems this unit is suppose to be better then the previous ones. I was gonna wait for olcano to release theres but I just couldn't wait any longer. Happen to find a site, www.ecigcharleston.com, that had a really good deal on it so I grabbed it. Now, even though I did alot of searching I really didn't find a whole lot regarding this one other then alot of overseas users. Most of the youtube reviews where in different language but I did happen to see one that helped me along. The vid did say a max of 3.9 amps but it was corrected in a forum post to 3 amps max for the unit. Now was wondering of anyone elses thoughts regarding this device. If you have one, your thoughts about it and even about the seller. Once I get it I'll go ahead and pop up a review about it as well just to pass on some info to maybe help the next person along. Thanks

StarFire VV Starter Kit has a sealed 510 connector from 3 Volts to 6 Volts Variable Voltage of 510 atomizers and cartomizers.Variable Voltage.Choose Voltage Battery Lasts Over Day.Lava Flow,Knight Rider/Lava Tube - Product details.

Just a quick update here about the shipping, since there doesn't seem to be many reviews regarding this shop. I ordered this at about 4am July 12th, I had a shipping conformation by 11am that same day, checked the shipping site and it was indeed shipped out not just the electronic notification that alot of places do. Will post more when I get it in the mail hopefully Saturday, at least from what the shipping site states.

Needeles,

What you bought is a Young-June v1.5t Vtube (not a Knight-Rider, and not v2.0, in spite of what the description says).

I own two Young-June v1.5t units, a Vector Variable Volt from VaporBeast and a VariTube X from iVape. They are identical to yours except for vendor rebranding. I like them both, in spite of the power-off glitch (the 5-click method puts the device into zombie-stealth-low-voltage mode).

I also have a Young-June chrome v2.0 from CrystalClearVaping. 3.9 amp limit, much heavier and sturdier (the buttons don't rattle when you shake the unit), and the power-off glitch has been fixed.

Any of these should serve you well, although my current love affair is with my new Ovale V8 from DiscountVapers.

Well just got mine in the mail today. Just a quick overview so far, I really like it. After ready the above post tho I'm alittle sad if it is in fact only a v1.5t. Yes the unit so far, in the short time I've used it, is working very well. From the Volt that I've been usign to this with the same Pheonix BC there is a nice difference in vap, taste and vap, which is weird but good. It does show the OHM of the cart, batt meter is built into the display when powered on, seems pretty sturdy and doesn't weight a god awful amount but I also didn't get the SS version. Charger, 2 batts, 5 Carts, Tube and carrying case for about $80 and that was with a few adapters. The buttons do tho have a small rattle if I shake it, end caps are made of metel not plastic. I'll add more info once I've used it for a few days but overall atm very happy with this device.

Needeles,

If you like light weight, you got the right one. The v1.5 weighs in (with a battery) at 3.3 ounces. Contrast that with the Young-June Chrome v2.0, which is a brick---5.2 ounces with battery.

On the other hand, the Chrome v2.0 has fixed the zombie-low-power glitch (although I hear that's true also of the newest v1.5t also), has buttons that don't rattle, a 3.9 amp limit, an eGo-style connector that works with everything (even Starfires), and is built solid as a rock.

One thing that is confusing me from what your saying is this has a 3 amp cutoff vs the others I read about only have a 2 amp cutoff. Did they make some that allowed 3 amp but in the 1.5 version?

If this is in fact the 1.5 version, is it to much of a difference becides the 3.9 amp cutoff. I doublt I will ever run at 6v with any type of cart. ATM I've tried my 2.5, 2.4 and 2.8 at a max of 4.8v on it and they seem to work good for me. Just want to make sure I'm not getting a POS I guess now if it isn't the device I thought I was getting.

All L-Rider Vtubes currently in production have a 2.5 amp limit. Young-June Vtubes have either a 2.8-3.2 amp limit (black or silver v1.5, v1.5t) or 3.9 amp limit (chrome v2.0).

The amp limit is an issue mainly with low-resistance (1.5-1.6 ohm) dual-coil cartos. If you use 2.5-3.5 ohm cartos, especially single coils, you won't need to worry, because even at 6V, a 3-ohm carto pulls only 2 amps. (Amps = volts divided by resistance.)

I have converted my remaining stash of 1.5/2.0/2.5 ohm dual coils into 3.0/4.0/5.0 ohm single coils by snipping the wire that comes out of the top of the center tube and snakes back down through the filler, effectively disabling one of the two coils, thus doubling the resistance of the carto.

Edit Note: Testing is not confirming the 3.9 amp limit on the Young-June Chrome v2.0. Looks like it's the same as the v1.5 and v1.5t---3.2 amps. Sorry to have passed on what now appears to be bogus information.

I ordered a starfire vv from Starfire VV and its awesome. If you take juices higher then it will allow u they taste burnt as h311 anyways lol. battery life is great ... good deal should have got this first. Try out the vivi nova :)

Yup this is what i got, few days of use and really like it. Trying to find a good tank system now but everything is either a carto tank or small clearos. ATM I am using the Pheonix BC with it and as you said above, taking it to high in voltage doesn't taste to good...lol. It came with 2 batts and so far it last me all day with one batt, vapin at bout 4v on a 2.4ohm. The carring case is a bit meh imo tho. Case can only carry 1 bottle of juice(10ML), the Startfire and 1 Pheonix. For a day out it is good tho but if I'ma be gone for more then a day or want a diff plav I gotta carry it in my pocket. Overall I'm really happy with what I got tho.

Starfires dont have tr new switches yet? I mean the zombie mode hasnt been fixed yet?

I can confirm that the 5-click powerdown glitch (resulting in zombie-low-power-mode) has been fixed in the Young June Chrome v2.0. I have one, and it shuts down exactly as it should---completely pocket safe. I've read that the current production runs of the v1.5t (a.k.a, Starfire, et al) no longer have the problem (and that would make sense, since the inner electronics are probably the same in the v1.5t and v2.0), but I can't confirm it from first-hand experience. Both my v1.5t units are from early on, and both have the glitch. I never take them out of the house or put them in my pocket, however, so it's no big deal to me. I just don't shut them off. Ever.

As far as I know the one I have still has the same "Zombie" issue. Persoanlly I leave mine on all day and when done I just pull the battery out. The biggest reason is I don't want to leave a batt in overnight just incase something does go wrong but also it takes care or the "Zombie" mode issue as well.

Just wanted to kick out another update. I finally broke down and got myself a DCT system. Got the 1.5 Smok Tech cartos with my tanks so figured it was a good time to check the amp limit on this thing. BTW I got the tanks and cartos for a great price but that is a diff story...lol. So I took my tank thro it on it OHM's out @1.4 and I kicked it up to 4.5 volts. I did it slowly starting at 3.3 volts and worked my way up to 4.5 in +2 increments at a time, the starfire allows increments of +1 tho. I didn't detect any downvoltage at this point. The LCD screen should pop on if it is drawing to much as well. From my calculations I am drawing 3.2 amps at this point. I didn't want to try and push it higher as I am not 100% sure what would happen but I can say that 1.4 @ 4.5v does work on this tube. The batt was also only on about a half a charge from what the LCD was displaying.
