Started on my journey to quit the cigs last night....

Been a member on here since Feb and after buying a lil cheap set up from a local tobacco place I had kind of put the E-cig on hold.... The lil cheap unit sucked as soon as I put it together... Leaked, no vapor, the lil bottle of menthol that came with was bad.... Used it for a few minutes and then it was back to my trusty Kool Blue...

Now its time to try this again and I'm pleased with the purchase.... Went to a local Vap shop that only specializes in that, where I can get some good advice on a starter kit... The guy was real helpful and hooked me up with a Vision Spinner, the case, charger, menthol juice and tank..... Wanted to get the lil regular start up kits that come with two hookups but after talking to the clerk and remembering my last set up, I just went the Vision... Glad I did the vapor is great and It was already charged up and hell it is still holding the charge right now from when I bought it at like 7pm last night.... Probably could have saved a few bucks on line but was ready to give this a try again...

So far so good.... Only had three Kools' last night while drinking a few beers last night with the fellas watching LSU, so I was happy with that.... The menthol I got was ok but still a lil to menthol for me but not bad.... Today so far only 3 Kools' which is good I probably would be almost finished with the pack by now....

I hope this works... Now its time to hunt for some good juice, just hate learning that I may have to let most flavors steep for weeks.... That part sucks.... Love to hear some of the best flavors and places to get them..... I have been a menthol smoker for awhile but don't mind other flavors...

You're doing great.

I gave up trying to find a menthol that I liked or that tasted like my Marboro Blues. It just doesn't exist, at least I haven't found it. I've found a couple of Naturally Extracted Tobaccos (NETS) I like, but sadly no menthol.

Now I'd just as soon vape fruit or bakery flavors. Other than that I do like Boba's Bounty and Gorilla Juice, which are tobacco based juices and satisfy my urge to smoke.

Yeah I think I will give up on the menthol only flavor.... Even tried it using those lil disposables and just not good... Wouldn't mind a flavored tobacco taste

Congratulations!

Good choice on getting the Vision. There seems to be a lot fewer problems with the authentic devices. Do you only have the one battery? If so, it is highly recommended to have another for back up.

Vision Spinner 1100mah

Thanks... Yeah just the one battery, but will be looking around at some of the vendors here to see if I can pick up another one and some more tanks this week.... See If I get a better price online if not I will just pick it up at the store I bought this one from...

Welcome. You are doing great.

If your local vape shop also sells eliquid, I would go to them and see if you can test a few flavors. If they have something you think you might like, see if they have some that is already steeped. You will be able to get an idea of what flavor profiles you are interested in, and have something on hand to vape while you look around online, and also give anything else that you order or purchase time to steep.

Whether an eliquid "needs" to steep is dependent on your taste. We have found that some flavors are good right out of the mailbox - my daughter grabs Mt. Baker Vapor's Hawk Sauce as soon as it comes in, whereas I have seen here on ECF that some people do not really enjoy it until it has steeped for a while. As you try different eliquids, you will get a sense of which ones you like without steeping, and which ones you think would improve with age.

Good luck. I hope you get as much pleasure and enjoyment from vaping as we have.

The link I posted to is the lowest priced authentic Vision I have seen in a very long time.

Thanks for the advice.... Will probably hit up the Vap shop I purchased from first cause they did have tanks set up with different flavors to try and inquire if they are pre-steeped then still place an online order, saw some flavors at Heather's Heavenly Vapes and Mt Baker that I want to try... That way I have some ready while the others steep....

I was a menthol smoker for many many years. have been vaping for 4 months. I started out with a menthol juice but soon switched to other flavors. You might enjoy fruit or bakery flavors. It is surprising to find out how different our tastes are when vaping versus smoking. Good luck on your search to find some flavors you enjoy.

Big congratulations on deciding to make the switch!! Glad you got something that works better for you this time. "Cigalikes" just don't do it for many of us, as quitting devices. Hang in there and don't get discouraged if things get difficult sometimes; you'll never truly regret leaving the smokes behind!

Welcome and congrats!

My whole family just started vaping fairly recently. My son also smoked menthol cigs and he found that if he used menthol flavored juices it was much more difficult to stay away from the cigs than if he used some other non tobacco or menthol flavored juices.
Since he moved away from those he has been completely smoke free.
Good luck, quitting tobacco is MUCH easier with vape!
