Ok my ignorance will now show. but I can be taught lol.
I ordered 48mg nic in pg from rts. I want to break that down to 24 mg as that is what I vape at. I want to cut it to 80/20 pg/vg and be at 24mg. In 10ml. I ordered some flavors and I realize that will make a slight difference in mg. When I add the flavor, but I think it will be a non issue for me as long as I am starting at 24mg.

Do I have to add distiller water to get the above ratio I am going for ?

I am thinking that if i want to go 50/50 pg/vg I would just add 5ml. Of vg to 5 ml. Of the pg 48mg ? But I want to try 80/20 Pg/vg first.

Thanks, Kevin

For 80/20, 24 mg, you need 5 ml of your nic base, 2 ml of vg, and 3 ml of plain pg.

Many flavorings use pg base, you could count them towards the pg.

I would not add water, it doesn't replace pg that well, I pretty much just use it to thin very high vg things. Go with 50% of your nic base, however much of your flavorings, then top off with vg, and pick up some plain pg for use later. Most diy vendors sell plain pg usp fairly cheap.

Using 48mg nic to make 10ml's @ 24mg 80/20 PG/VG mixture in 10ml's you'd need:

50% nic = 5ml
30% pg = 3ml
20% vg = 2ml

The percentage of nic would remain the same but the pg and vg would drop a small amount to account for flavoring using any of the e-juice calculators that are available. In a 10ml mix if you don't account for the flavoring, your final result will be somewhere between 20-24mg depending on how much flavor you add.

I've never diluted my mixtures no mater the amount of VG I use. Of course, I rarely go over 30% VG.
