Neither here nor there
I've been smoke-free since mid September. After spending untold thousands of dollars to build my vaping arsenal, for some reason, just now, I'm starting to think I can quit vaping. I need to ponder the best way to do this. Obviously, cutting back on the nic content is the first step. Is anyone in the process of quitting nicotine? I would imagine that quitting vaping is very much easier than quitting smoking via vaping. I started vaping in April, so it was several months before I took the big step of quitting cigarettes. I think I can do it.

Are the others who have quit still here on ECF, or have they gone on their merry ways?

For me, you are correct in saying that quitting vaping is easier than quitting smoking. Even as much as I enjoy vaping, my intake of nic has decreased since giving up analogs, and I chain smoked. I don't know why exactly, but I'm not complaining. I have gone days without it - little to no problem. So, go for it, you're chance for success is excellent.

Ive found I vape more after work at home than any other time. Ive been vaping since June, when I first started, I chain vapes  But in recent few weeks, Ive noticed even on 3-4 hour road trips, when i used to smoke the most,, I sometimes dont even pick my PV up at all.....more out of habit when surfing the net now...strange, although a pleasant way to quit....a decrease that is unintentional is a sure fire sign that times are a changin :) I think Ill always vape...just prob not constantly as before.....time will tell :D GOOD LUCK THO!!!! I think u can do it!

There is no doubt that you can. I quit smoking for two years by weening my way off with chew, then for a couple several month stints cold turkey, and lastly four years using the patch. It was the hardest thing ive ever done. I recently started vaping and i can tell you that I personaly, even after four years, never overcame the nic addiction. Sure i got over wanting to smoke, but I what I couldnt get over were the times in my life when I used to rely on nic to calm me down or cope with stress I no longer had. If something got me really upset sometimes it would take me days just to calm down when in the past a half pack of cigs would have done the trick. I also developed a 2 cases of beer a week habit in that 4 years which in turn compounded anxiety issues. Anyway i could go on and on what im saying is stress is not healthy and niether is high quantities of alchohol. So if you quit altogether be carefull that you find a healthy way to cope with stress or anxiety (if that is even an issue with you). What I think would be an even more reasonable goal would be to maintain a measure of self control when it comes to your nic intake. Since discovering vaping I dont plan on ever totaly living without nic again but i also dont plan on carrying it around like a pacifier (no offence to anyone using the lanyard). You can do whatever you set your mind to. We all have that in us. Good luck to you either way you go.
