So I started with vaping last Sunday. I had to take a long trip with my granddaughter and not going to smoke in the car with her. To top that off she was with me for a week and I can't smoke around her so, time to vape. I had already been researching this as an alternative to smoking anyway, since it worked for 2 of my children already to help them quit. I did end up using the vape and the cigarettes for the first few days, but I am now at the end of day three with just vaping.

With all that being said, I love it. My husband has joined in my plight as well, and is at the end of his first full day of vaping only.

I have already upgraded to a variable voltage e go battery, and an aspire tank. It seemed like a decent upgrade for now from the starter kit that I bought at the gas station. My hubby has the Evod starter. We're both experimenting with the tobacco flavors for now, and there is a great shop right in town that has some good flavors, my favorite being the black honey tobacco so far. I keep a sweet one in my starter kit just because it's nice now and then.

It's amazing that this is working for me, nothing, and I mean nothing, has gotten me this far before. I've been smoking for 34 years. I think I might take my savings and get a new car :)

Glad I found this place so I'll be able to check out the opinions and reviews on products and juices, I think I'm more apt to try something new if someone else gives a good review and description of it.

So tomorrow it's back to work from vacation, and hopefully I get through another week :)

Hi Lisa, and welcome to ECF. All of your questions can be answered here. The people are the best of the best in helping everyone.

Congrats to you and your husband!!!!!! I smoked for 45 years and quit in 6 days by vaping. That was over 5 years ago and I've never looked back. If I can do it, so can you.!!!

    Happy Vaping!!!!:)

Welcome to ECF, Lisa and congratulations to you and your husband for joining in on one of the most important things you could do for yourselves, quitting the smokes!! I have faith in both of you that you will be able to accomplish this. I smoked for 40 years and have been smoke free for over six months, since the first day I started vaping on an ego. Keep it up, and you won't believe how much better you'll feel!

Welcome! There are really nice folks here with vast knowledge. Buying a car is a great idea! What kind would you get? Maybe I'll start saving for my classic El Camino. [emoji3]

Thanks all for the warm welcome :)

MamaRymes, I will probably get a Chevy Cruze Eco or a Volt. I already have the hot rod, a 79 Camaro Z28, but it's not a good commuter car for the 90 miles a day I travel. If you get that El Camino I'd live to see a picture of it :thumb:

Good job on quitting cigarettes! The first week, around day 5 or 6, i had a HUGE urge to smoke cigarettes. Just don't. Grab that vape and suck on it like there's no tomorrow, get that nic into your system, and suffer through it, and it'll be all good. I'm just entering my 4th week. I had a dream the other night that I snuck to the store and bought a pack of smokes, and when I lit one up, it was the best thing I'd ever felt. Then I woke up feeling dirty.

Using the fact that you're saving money and want to buy stuff is a great way to keep off the smokes. Between the wife and I we'll save almost $400 a month after the cost of our start up is covered. We're looking at a Mitsubishi Lancer Limited Edition with all the chrome bits.

That's a really great intro, Lisa. Congrats on dumping the ciggies and I wish you well for the future.
