Opps, sorry. keep forgetting about that. The words you edit out. What other names could I use to make sure it mean what it really mean?

You could say.. "the person thought it was something illegal" or "other things". Most will pick up what you're laying down.

I've feared explaining this to cops here and there when driving...but sofar the closest I've came is a cop pulling up behind me at a stop light. I was like...-slowly lowers e-cig and places it down on the case-

Not sure a southern super trooper would give a crap if he could prove it was drugs or not...they're happy to write you up for anything they can get on you.

Other day I went into the vape shop to see
2 local cops in there. I said agh crap they are
giving Kevin a hard time.

Low and behold they both vaped and are regulars.
It is and will get better with knowledge.
If you get stopped. Just act mature and show
good manors as a fellow Vapor

Charge up and enjoy :p

That may be a very good idea but I am just enough of a hard head that I will continue to vape and drive. I will be pleasant and respectful when/if they pull me over and I will make sure I am totally legal as far as all the right paperwork in my car/truck. But, I drive a lot and I will still vape and drive. I have a chip on my shoulder, I guess, but I won't give in to someone's ignorance regarding vaping. I think I am a bit unreasonable on this count. If I saw a person drinking from a glass of iced, amber liquid and driving, I would assume it was whiskey. So, I suppose it just goes without saying, some policeman may think I am (doing something else). I have seen folks drive while sharing a (OTHER STUFF) with passengers. That makes it more understandable that police are concerned about our use of PVs. Oh well. Time will tell.

In that case with the amber liquid I could be in trouble...I always have a glass of tea with me when I drive! LOL

What worried me about Classwife's avi is it looks like fly agaric, which is poisonous and psychoactive!

Regarding vaping when driving, i'd be delighted if now and then people with phones as large as my pv (it's a box!) were stopped and asked what they are doing! I might just paint buttons on my mod.

My car, my house - do as i like. Your car, your house, i do as you wish. Car needs a wash though.

Lol.. maybe she's sending a message ;)
"Don't tread on me."

The part next to her name that says "ECF Moderator" says that louder and clearer than any picture. She is nice, but don't push your luck with her. Mushroom, mystery woman, or cutesy cartoon, they all look the same to me:

Even though I've been warned by others here not to vape while driving, I really didn't think it could happened. I normally don't but that morning, a week ago, I just needed a couple of hits. Lo and Behold, a state trooper did a drastic u turn right on the highway with flashing lights and pulled me over. He asked for my license and then asked, can I guess why he pulled me over. I can tell he wasn't in a good mood but then neither was I. I was cutting it close to be on time for work and this, IMO, overzealous state trooper decides he would fill his end of the month quotas by ticketing me. I wasn't speeding and there was no missing tail light. I said I've no idea why. He asked me to step out of the truck and do the DUI test. Why, I asked, I wasn't drinking. By then it was clear he wasn't go to take my "attitude" anymore and that I better shut up and do what he asked. I passed with flying colors which seems to make him more angrier. Finally, he asked what was I smoking. A ecig, I told him. He didn't believe me. I don't blame him there because my extended provari with Iclear 30 tank certainly did not look like a typical ecig like a blu. It finally dawn on me that he thought I was smoking (OTHER STUFF). A mini (EDIT), he called it. Good thing I didn't laugh. I explained what a vapor is and invited him to smell my blueberry muffin ejuice. He couldn't give me a warning because I was innocent on all counts. I, however, asked him to write a note, so to speak, explaining why I was late for work and the A H wouldn't. I called my lawyer the next day and he said that if that state trooper genuinely thought I was doing something wrong, he had every right to pulled me over. Even though I didn't do anything wrong, I guess if I want to vape on the road, get a electronic that looks like a cigarette, right?

I can't wait to tell all the police officers and sheriff's deputies I know this story. Many of them vape. I'm pretty sure most of them will agree that the state trooper was an AH.

I was at a minor hit and run the other day and was talking to two policemen and vaping at the same time on my Vamo. I asked them if they were familar with vaping and they laughed and said yes. When I told them the concerns of some here on ECF regarding vaping and the police, they said, unfortunately there are a few ignorant police officers in every force.

I'm now 60.
I Vape on the way to work, or anywhere else I'm driving. After 45+ years smoking there are habits built in.
I don't try to hide anything and will deal with whatever comes from it.
This is my body and I am attempting to do the right thing for ME.

Do NOT try to ACT normal, be normal. Just be yourself and be honest about it. If stopped, be polite. They are doing their job and you are better off for this.
Better a suspicious officer doing his/her job than one covered in Doughnut Crumbs getting Fat off our Taxes.

I personally wish I was 65 -_- then at least I wouldn't look like some young person in a small car, in the illegal substance filled town I live in and a target for the local police.

I thank my stars I have yet to be pulled over. But driving around in a 01 Hyundai Tiburon just makes me look so bad lol. Of course if I ever do get a chance to speak to some local officers, I'll be asking if the force knows about ecigs. I just don't want to walk right into the station and them confiscate my only PV >>

I have not had any problems yet. I even walked into Walgreens, at 1am, sporting a Kgo VV mega with a Protank, hanging from my neck. The cop that walked in next to me never said a word. He was a younger cop though, maybe 25. I don't know if one of the older cops would have said anything or not.

You're lawyer is absolutely right. A police officer has every right to pull you over, for ANY reason. It is completely up to them.

They also have EVERY right to arrest you, for whatever reason they deem. They can, and WILL arrest people all the time for reasons most people would laugh at, or not believe, if for the fact it wasn't true. :(

YOU have the right to an attorney, and to make your case in court. If you did nothing wrong, any charge will be dropped.

The PROBLEM with this system....is even though charges will be dropped, you 1) Still go to jail, 2) Still have to pay for bail (it will get refunded, but still), 3) Still might have to pay for a lawyer, 4) Will miss time at work/potentially lose your job, and 5) Suffer the embrassment of having a cop take away your rights for whatever reason he deems, and 6) The cop is VERY unlikely to suffer any consequences for false arrests.

This unfortunately happens ALL the time.

The BEST thing you can do....is comply 100% with whatever requests/questions a police officer asks you when he pulls you over. Make sure you STAND up for your rights, but at the same time, be mindful and courteous, so you don't end in jail because the officer gets mad.

If you're civil rights were violated.....FILE A LAW SUIT. If enough people in this country actually STAND UP for your rights....then perhaps in the future..maybe OUR children won't have to deal with the same corruption and abuse at the hands of "peace" officers that we have to deal with.

Lots of people these days are being pulled over and harassed for using e-cigs. The BEST thing you can do , like I said, is comply tot he officer's requests...be as polite as you can, and hopefully you won't go to jail.

Good luck guys.

"Do as I say, don't do as I do" is a terrible message to convey to users.

i vape while driving and have been pulled over. I consider it an opportunity to educate officers on something they have little knowledge about. After the second time being pulled over i gave a short 30 minute class to the local dept on what an e cig is and what the "other" devices look like. I have not been pulled over since.
