I was just screwing in my atomizer and I heard a popping sound. I was always careful with it too because my friend told me the Rebel had issues with the 510 breaking. The part I colored red are supposed to be together. I think I could solder them back together. It was a really weak joint.

I'd be upset if I paid that much cabbage and have it break in such a short time too. I'd let them fix it and see if they'll warranty the repairs for X amount of time.

Yes, that's what I am thinking. I am more concerned about the cost. Of sending it overseas, and then having it shipped back. It's literally an easy fix with a soldering iron. I don't know how to solder, but I am sure I can figure it out(have been watching videos). It might just be cheaper to try and fix it myself.

Another option if you're concerned about shipping and costs both ways, would be to ask them to send a new 510 assembly. It's clear that one failed, you could still fix the original and keep as a spare.

That^. And remind them that one bad experience by a customer translates to a lot of missed sales by 'word of mouth'. I've sent a link to vendors/manufacturers when all efforts in negotiating a 'fix' containing posts and responses just like this thread. Name and shame has it's customer service benefits for all concerned.

Hard to tell from the pictures but I am going to take a guess and say you will not be able to solder that. The joint will break. If anything it will require a spot weld. Regardless, performing any type of fix yourself could void all warranties. It’s an unfortunate reality, but you are gonna have to bite the bullet and send it back. Or use it as a paper weight.

Agreed, although if the op is going to forward this link he should change the title to: Warning about.......:)

@asmcriminal - Would not hurt to ask for a 510 assembly to be shipped. But again, performing the fix yourself could void warranties. Rebel may also want the defective assembly back for further analysis. Keep communication open and also keep your cool – getting upset with the company will not work in your favour.

Stuff happens to all products, especially mail order stuff. I always try to be cordial for the first contact. Any legit company will try to make things right. For the less legit companies, adjust your attitude as needed. :-x
:censored:

I could've bought 4 or 5 really good kits with spare coils for $313.00. Just sayin.

It's funny how many different viewpoints are expressed on this forum. There's always something for everyone.

Shame on Rebel for not taking better care of you.
Or for designing a flimsy 510 which falls apart at the first fart in current year...
It's not the bleeding edge of vape technology

By the response Rebel have given @asmcriminal already, the warranty is as good as a $3 bill.
