Take a look at V4L's version of the gripper, called the Handle. They reworked the internals and the firing button is COMPLETELY silent! It is a kr808d connection tho, cuz all their stuff is, but nothing an adaptor can't remedy:) Also, I remember reading somewhere in a review by their in-house tech expert, that the LED is adjustable(off, dim, high), but I have not tried that on mine. Only sound you hear on mine is the slight crackling of my carto tank;)

v4l is for newbs designed to seperate you from your money, all their flavors are yucky too. I catagorize them with companies like Blu, Greensmoke, Njoy etc. Plus factor in long wait times and by the time u get your "kit" you'll probably will have already bought a real mod from a real vendor. Not meant as a slight on v4l, or some of its inhouse fans but unless you live in chicago, or have some irresistible urge to use 808 i mean who still uses those??, v4l should be avoided. Although, their website sure is pretty!

Now that Smokeless Image has vv, I'd be almost happy to stay on 808 if I had not already left it when vv was 510-only. I think 808
will be a fine mid-range product line for advanced beginners at this point, and soon they might be a drastically-better PERMANENT choice than Blu or NJoy for what we might think of as high-end mainstream vapers.

So if those "handlers" didn't require an adapter, and if one of my main gripes about my LavaTube was not the need for an adapter-like extension, I'd have gotten one. EVERYTHING except the 808-ness was a plus for me.
