Anyone on here a Steampunk fan? I know I am and would love to see Rob do some Steampunk style Reo mods. Rob, do you have any plans for a Steampunk style Reo in the near future?

Some inspirations,

It would also be pretty cool to add a pressure indicator, maybe to tell the user of the battery life or the amount of juice available, food for thought :p.

Reminds me of this commercial:

"the difference that Infinity puts into their cars is the attention to detail, all the way to the placement of the clock"

(engine rev sounds, contrasting light classical)
(pan back to rear seat perspective focusing on the analog clock, star wipe! star wipe!)

Although the Reo as is would ease into a spot on Warehouse 13 :2cool:

I'm a huge steampunk fan and may be modding my Woodvil along those lines. Honestly, it won't be too hard considering its already beautiful woods and the brass catch cup.

There was a beautiful mod someone did in the Modder's Forum that certainly qualified. All brass tubes, connected by smaller tubes, with a big plunger (topped with fake ivory) and a glass window where the juice bottle went. Incredible little thing and I wish I remembered who made it.

I thought my mods were all ready steam punk.I do love it actually right now I have so much on the plate I need to keep my head down and shuck mods before I take on any new projects

The Woodvil has a steampunk feel to it no doubt about that but I think the regular mods (Metal type) are more modern and sort-of futuristic. This is based on my personal perception. What I constitute as a true steampunk device is,

- Has to have gears, screws, or bolts (Could have all of it)
- Has to have leather, brass, copper, or wood as the main body material (Could have all of it)
- Has to be functional, meaning the gears (Just a simple rotation on the spot is fine) or pressure indicator should do something.
- And most importantly, it has to look either distorted but not to an extreme or it has to look a bit worn out.

God, I have so many ideas for a steampunk mod and it makes me want to participate as a modder but I don't have the cash since I'm a skint broke college student :p.

But yea Rob, you are aware of this I'm sure and the Reo is beyond satisfying but there is always room for improvements. Stick with what you already have and worry about other designs later. And if you ever (and I mean ever) need a new concept in the near future, never forget steampunk.
