SteelJan gone?

I tried to thumbs up on her youtube channel I wasn't even able to do that. reviews have been removed. BUT I did show support on her blog here on ECF. You can still make comments there.

I suggest everyone leave comments even if you are new here or a seasoned veteran!!! Let her know that the people who valued her service will support her in droves.

When I watched her video last night and saw how upset she got, it made me cry. Literally, sitting at my desk crying. These feelings are real, the attacks against her are real. Hateful, vile words towards a beautiful woman are real and inflict real damage. I'm so sad that this has happened. I even went back and watched the video people were accusing her of and I saw NOTHING that would indicate her being negative or accusing anyone of anything, in fact, what I did see was a Video response from someone who did feel as if she was directly saying it the "Him" and basically telling her she's wrong and that she doesn't know her s*it. It was unnecessary and not needed.

It was obvious she was excited over what she was reviewing. It was obvious she found great joy in the information she gave. Whether she was wrong or right about specifics, WHO CARES!! You can agree or disagree with her all you want to, it's your right. But what you cannot do is attack and bully someone to the point to which they are physically ill and emotionally distraught over it. That's wrong and nobody gains anything from that.

I agree. The woman broke down in tears; it's absolutely no joke. What a damn shame; excellent reviewer, she was like a teacher. The jerk(s) who bullied her…I have no words.

My heart is broken for her today. It's sad that people out there in the world feel the need to hide how much they hate themselves by lashing out at others in an attempt to make themselves look better.

I've lived through intense bullying. It is not something that ANYONE should ever have to go through. I only hope she takes some comfort in the outpouring of support that the rest of us have shown and continue to show her.

I didn't see that video. I only got to see her last review posted yesterday. I loved it. She made me laugh! she was so great. so being a noob, I won't have the chance to get her insights. As well as all new vapers will loss another valuable knowledge source here. Very bad situation.

Remember bullying can be dangerous. How many people have lost their lives recently because of bullying? You see it on the news alot. This is no joke.

Again, I stress support to Steeljan's great deeds. And spread the words that bullying is not the way.

I have tremendously enjoyed (and learned alot from) all SteelJan's reviews. The vaping community has lost a very valuable resource bacause a few individuals felt the need to villify her. I wish there was something I could do to support her and I'm sure that feeling is shared by a majority of people in the vaping community. Thank you SJ for all the effort you have put into trying to help people get the most out of their equipment.

They assumed. I remember the video. and basically she stated that in line voltmeters also add ohms to the readings. Which is true. She did not say anything about any one person. that was her statement. can't say opinion because what she said is true.

This is terrible. All of this over a vapor video, wow. Whom ever bullied her needs to get a life. I hope she comes back as well. Now that I think of it, when I started researching about vaping to make the big leap from analogs I watched a couple of her reviews. They were always pleasant and informative. It was like learning how to vape from my grandmother, and I thought it was great.

If you read some of the comments people have left in her reviews, you wouldn't be surprised. This bullying nonsense has to stop. I feel very sad for her.

As a rule, I never read comments on YouTube. Not in a long time. I guess she shouldn't either.

Ok. Like I said, yesterday was the first, and hopefully not my last viewing, of a video review from Steeljan. But I can say it again, she was informative, she was enjoyable, and from what I am gathering, she is smart! So that made her an invaluable resource. At first she looks look anyone's mom, but than as she started talking about juice flow and technical stuff, she kind of blow my mind. Not only does she look like everyone's friend, but she has a brain!! an Engineer's mind to be exact. Isn't that something that would benefit us all?

So, it would be nice to know, being a noob, what advise did you find useful to you that Steeljan gave during a review. And let's add all useful reviewers. I want to know what advice some gave you, that helped you. But let's definitely get a truck load of Steeljan ideas and comments; because her youtube has only one video now.

I didn't get a chance to watch the video about the attacks before it was taken down, and I don't think I can watch the only video up for much the same reason. She and her videos are priceless to this community imo.
I learned about vaping maybe a year or two before I actually tried one. Initially, my research wasn't that great...obvious, unlikeable shills and deceptive, predatory web shops; I felt ashamed at the thought that I was just being scammed, and sad and angry that others in more desperate situations were too.
I can't remember what lead me to her videos a long while later, but they turned my view completely around. Genuine, likable, funny, smart, and informative. I found ECF, and I was overwhelmed with the depth and breadth of knowledge here, and with the kindness of the community. Her videos and this community lead me to purchase my first PV, and I do not regret a single cent spent on it.
Even as cynical of the internet as I am, I was shocked that anyone could attack someone like Jan. But now I think I could come up with a few people just scummy enough to do that. Maybe it was just internet trolls. Maybe it was anti-vape louses angry that vapers had someone so sweet to help newbies. It makes me furious to think that this was a silencing campaign that succeeded.
I really hope she makes her videos public again, and maybe return to be an active and valuable member of the community. Above all, I hope she does what's best for her, and I wish her all the happiness she deserves.

Well, hopefully the out pouring of support to her will change her mind. And that those that contributed to her leaving can read all these well wishing comments to her on this and on any other thread. So that they KNOW, that she was a nice person, that most people admired and respected. And if they have some type of decency, they can man up or woman up, and find a way to tell her they were wrong for the unneeded comments.

It's way ok to disagree, but do it respectfully.
