First off I am a die hard cartomizer/tank guy that vapes mostly tobacco juices.

When I first get a new juice in I cant bring myself to wait weeks to let it "steep" before I try it, so I always fill up a cartomizer as soon as I get a juice in to try it out. Then if I dont seem like it right off ill label the cartomizer, and tuck it away for a while to "steep". But if I do seem to like it ill go ahead, and fill up a carto tank with it, and vape on it here and there periodically to see if it starts to change any over time...

But my question is does juice "steep" the same sitting in a cartomizer/tank as it would just sitting in the bottle?

I'm still new to this, but basically what I'm looking for in steeping is to eliminate any "chemical" tastes or smells. I'm looking for my fruit-flavored vapes to take on more of a natural taste rather than energy-drink style cyber-fruit, or (ew!) soap-flavored fruit. I spend about half my time using top-feed clearomizers, the rest of the time dripping, occasionally use cartridges.

I have found that, of the three, juice tends to snap into line much quicker with the clearomizers. I think it's like decanting wine; the act of dripping it into the tank, and all the twirling around you have to do to keep the wicks wet, sublimates the aromatics a lot quicker than just leaving it on the shelf in the bottle.
