I've read quite a bit of information on this forum prior to joining. I guess that makes me a lurker. I recently bought juices that I'm planning to use to fill & refill some cartomizers. I purchased from 2 vendors. I can see the production date printed on juices from one vendor & not from the other. Is it necessary to steep juices to get the best flavor? And for how long?

Not always, I dont buy into the whole thing myself, I can see maybe letting them sit for a week but after that it should be ready to vape, I know the ones I buy and make I can vape right away or with in a week everything has mended together. Your going to get tons of people who disagree with me and the post below though.

If it tastes good, vape it. If not, set it aside for a week and try it again. Some juice vendors mix each bottle to order so it's fresh, those may need some steeping time. You'll know if it needs to steep after you try it. If it tastes peppery or perfumey it needs to age a bit.

good advice...i try em all when they arrive....steep what needs it...i have revisited some steeped juices and was amazed....:)

I got some juice from a well known vendor quite a while back. They all had a purfumey flavor to them. I tried them a week later and nothing had changed so I threw them in my stash thinking I'd just blown $40. I ran across them again a couple months later and thought what the heck, I'll try them. One turned out to be really good, a maple creme flavor. It's now one of my favorites. I just know I need to order way ahead so it'll have a long time to sit.

If I can add a related question... it looks to me like the consensus is that steeping mellows heavy flavors... does it weaken light ones? I have an Irish Cream Flavor I absolutely love but it's almost too light. Would steeping help, hurt or have no effect you think?

I may be asking too early because it may be perfect when my taste buds come back but ithe same issue could come up with another juice later sooo...
