I believe that's the word that people are using to allow their juice to set before vaping? I am correct? What is the process? Do I take off the cap and let it sit in a dark and dry place?

I have ordered the following juices and am wondering if I should steep them at all?

  • Patriot by Goodejuice
  • Freedom by Halo
  • Honey Flue Nut by Backwoods Brew
  • Eclipse by Space Jam

Thanks for any input you can offer. I really appreciate it.

Take care,
Dani

Can-o-worms... hehe. Many people steep in many different ways. I would honestly check with each manufacturer for their suggested method. I have seen that many have the info right on their web site. I do suggest vaping a little of each as soon as you get it and taking notes, then again toward the middle of the process and of course again at the end.

Some people prefer different lengths of time and some companies say that what they send is normally pre-steeped... but that can always change if they can't meet demand and have to pull from the reserves.

Steeping allows the flavor profile to deepen. Cap off is for alcohol to leech off. No alcohol, no cap off. Some juices need a week or two, others like Patriot are good to go and also change a bit over the life of the juice. Your in for a treat with Patriot. Nothing like it and one of the best tobacco NET's out there.

Vaping is very much about you, and what you enjoy. If you like the way your eliquids smell and taste fresh out of the mailbox, vape them. If you think they need a little something, let them steep. It is your personal preference that counts. My daughter absolutely loves Mt. Baker Vapor's Hawk Sauce straight out of the mailbox, whereas I have seen here on ECF that others do not think it reaches its full potential until it has steeped for varying lengths of time. Please remember to shake your eliquid - cap on - before loading into your tank or carto.

Our very complicated method of steeping is to put the eliquid aside for a while, caps on (mine go into a cheap toolbox bought just for vaping supplies, my daughter's go into a shoebox that she keeps her vaping supplies in). How long depends on how we think the eliquid smells (does it smell like blackberry cheesecake?) and how a small amount loaded into a tank tastes. Before we were able to build up a small stash, there was not much steeping involved. We vaped quite a bit of stuff fresh out of the mailbox, since it was that or not vape at all. We were very fortunate that the vendor we were using at the time had quite a few eliquids that tasted good to us without steeping.

Oh my gosh, HEAD SMACK!!! I have not heard of this and I haven't been doing this. But it really is common sense! Thank you for the information.

You guys have a great set-up going on there. I have an empty drawer just waiting to be used.

Take care,
Dani

Mmmm Patriot! That was the first eliquid I ever bought! It singlehandedly got me off the stinkies. Its SOOO good!! It really scratches the craving itch. I still have 3 30 ml bottles with a year aging on them. They are still fantastic!!

And yes do shake vigorously before loading ejuice in the tank. Flavors and nic will (can) separate.
