Hey all,

I've been using a Joye 510 since I started vaping back in September 2010. I'd like to go ahead and try some other models since I've been using this for so long but I'm always hesitant to try new thing. The Joye 510 was a great starter e-cig but its starting to seem a bit weak to me, and I vape heavily so batteries and atomizers never last long.

I'm just curious about what model I should try next. I like to stick to the look of the Joye 510. I was considering a 510-t but the only difference is that its more convenient. Any recommendations for a novice PV?

The eGo is often the next logical step for standard 510 users. Your current attys will still work plus you open up options like the ego-t tank, the ego mega, and some ego specific cartomizers. Pretty much anything 510 threaded works. The eGo batteries are generally reliable and look nice and are anywhere from 650 to 1100 mah for all day vaping on one battery charge.

The Riva is an eGo clone that I think might be a little bit better choice. Liberty Flights and a couple of other places have great prices on those. The Riva isn't regulated to 3.2v like the eGo and acts more like a mod battery set up and runs at 3.7 volts.

you might want to check out the new echo also. I'm not vouching for it just saying it's worth looking into. I'm still stuck with my faithful 510 myself but I'm looking at the ego, the igo, or the echo when I move up. Here's a link to it if you want to have a look. There's also a thread going about it right here in the general forum if want to see what people who've already tried it think.

The problem with another 510 is the size. Step up to a GoGo or other larger diameter kit.

The Riva 510 is a big battery unit. The standard Riva 510 is a 750 mah big batt. The Riva 510 mega t-rex is a 900 mah big batt. The other Riva t-rex is 1100 mah. The largest Hangsen Riva is 1300 mah.

The go-go is a 1300 mah big bat, but is not 510 threaded, so any existing hardware the OP has is not compatible with the go-go.

Yes Echo that was the other one I was thinking of! The GoGo and the Echo also run at a high voltage and have horizontal coils

The go-go and the echo are 3.7v units (4.2 off the charger) same as the Riva. They are not HV PVs.

Still a 510 my point-> it is SMALLER
A GoGo is a 1300 mah battery and is bigger diameter WAY bigger than a 510. I do not even use any of my 510 gear anymore unless I am hard up.
Yes you are right it "steps down" to 3.7 but it is better than something that has to "step up" to 3.7 as the battery drains

510 is the thread. The Riva 510 is not a 510 the way you are thinking of it. You are thinking 510 as a small form factor standard 510 e-cig. The Riva 510 is a big batt unit with 510 threads and the kit comes with 510 attys.

And, other than the threading, a 1300 mah go-go acts exactly the same as a 1300 mah Riva in that they charge to 4.2v and decrease to something around 3.6v as they drain. Neither is regulated.

The eGo batteries are regulated to around 3.2v, but not the 750 and up Riva.

EDIT: I received a PM reminding me that some Riva 650s are pwm regulated. The t-rex Rivas are not. The Hangsen Rivas are not either. I just tested a 750 and a 900 I got from Liberty Flights and both are at 4.1 after laying around for a few days since their last charge.
