I just received my Ultimate Ultimatum Kit - have been waiting for it impatiently and I am psyched right now.

Steve put in an XL manual battery for free as well as 5 mix cartomizers - the drinks.. and man Do I love pinacolada!!!

Hilton is a great tobacco replacement. I havent even tried the rest yet.

Thanks a lot Steve. This peasant offers a bow of appreciation:D

Now, some words on my first experience and some questions of course.

I did try vaping, i think it has a learning curve. I still am trying, but initially I got almost no vapor at all. Now I get some. But I still think I have a long way to go since I have seen videos of people with VK and blowing lots of vapor. My starting mistake I think was that I was drawing too hard on the VK since I do that with my analogues too because I am always in a rush and I finish my ciggarrete way before people usually do.
So now I press the button and kind of wait for the vapor to come into my mouth on its own, a little drawing of course. And it has improved. But I think I really need to know from you guys how to vape?? So please chime in.

Secondly when I press the button on the XL battery, the light is on and I can hear the atomizer sound, but after 5-7 seconds the light flashes once and then turns off even though I have the button pressed. Is it like an auto-turn-off for secuirty reasons?? I do get some vapor though.

Thirdly I dont know about the lights on the wall charger as well as the PCC charger. The wall charger has one light it turned green when I plugged it in and then turned red when I put in the battery. Similarly the PCC has two lights and initially one of them was red, after while the second light started flashing and then red too. So I needed to know how do I know the battery is fully charged.

So I think my vaping expreince will improve with time but my analogues are out the window right away ;)

Welcome Emi!

As far as the chargers go ..

The Wall Charger: When you initially plug this into the wall, the light will be green. You screw your battery into this unit, the battery will blink and then the light will turn red - this indicates that the battery is charging. Once the charge is complete, the light will turn green.

The USB Charger: I usually plug my battery into the unit and then the unit into the USB of my computer. The battery will blink and then the USB will turn red, when the charge is complete, the light will turn blue.

The PCC: You have 2 lights. The light closest to the USB cord will be red to indicate charging. Once the unit if fully charged, the light will turn green & the unit should be able to charge 4 or 5 batteries. The light closest to the battery plug will turn red as the battery is charging and will go completely out when the charge is complete (it will blink periodically to remind you that the charge is done).

I believe you have already found the trick on the manual battery - press the button and draw the vapor in. Sounds like you've got a 5 second cut-off which is fairly common. The newer batteries will have 10 second cut-offs. Easy way around this is to let the button go and press it again, you will have another 5 seconds.

When you draw the vapor in, don't hold it. The longer you hold the vapor in, the less vapor will come out (good for stealth vaping). The auto batteries are best with long, slow draws.

You will get the hang of it! Just give it time. If you are like the rest of us, you are already plotting your next purchase. Welcome to the wonderful world of the Vapor4Lifers!

Hope this helped.

Thank you Sylvia for the information on the Charging. As far as vapor is concerned, I have all manual batteries and thats ok. only the XL has a cutoff, the regular ones dint give me any cutoff or I dint notice it.

I think I need to adjust my drawing/sucktion to get the most benefit. But as a matter of fact blowing out lots of vapor is not my concern really. As far as I get a good hit, I am ok and I think I am improving.

The next few things I would like to know is when do I know that the cartomizer is almost done and needs a refill. secondly, people talked about tweaking the filament inside the cartomizer as soon as you get a burning taste. I hope that doesnt happen, but I think there is no way for a beginner to identify that burning taste until it happens.

I also have to understand the process of refilling Juice in the cartomizer but I think there are lots of videos here that I could watch.

I have the V4L business cards in my pocket and cant wait to hand it out to people/smokers who ask me what the hell am I smoking :)

No problem, Emi! You will find that all the V4L'ers are more than happy to assist with any questions.

As far as knowing when to switch your cart out, that would be as soon as the flavor starts to change - kind of a burnt marshmallow thing. You will know when the cart is not producing the same type of flavor. Some people say if the flavor or vapor is reduced but the vapor starts to reduce a little when the battery is starting to die out too. As far as the filament, I've never really tweaked the filament itself, I've stuck my tweezers into the filling on the side to fluff it (to straighten out the atomizer/filament) but that's it. You just want that to be more or less centered in the cart.

There is a sticky on the refilling video by KC, I would advise you to watch that one since it is the most comprehensive. Either that one or the one by Doshma on the V4L site.

You more than likely have the 10 second cut-off manuals. It's all good then! Have you tried your passthrough yet?? It's heaven!

Happy Vaping, Emi!

Emi...as a new vaper, you are probably going to burn a few carts out to the point of being unrefillable before figuring out just when to stop vaping.

I think we've all been there.

The easiest thing to do is just not to let it get to that point. I carry 3 carts with me. One on the battery, and two in my PCC. I rotate throughout the day, and top off at the end of the day.

I never worry about getting to that point anymore.

However, that's just me. You'll get your own style, and it'll be great...promise. If vaping can work for an idiot like me, there's hope for us all.

:D
