I'm cutting my own juice - 24ml PG Marlboro with 40% VG and 10% water. Maybe it's getting too thick?
That's a possibility. In this weather, you also have to remember that VG gets very thick when it gets cold, so outside, less VG is definitely an option.

I second what quasimod says. Just drip
You try that when riding your bicycle. Let me know how it went. ;)

im gonna try your method.is your straw that high?in the cart.looks flush.
Almost; maybe like a milimeter shorter, and only so that it does not chafe the net. Probably would not matter much if it were flush, either. If its too short, the top opening gets covered in liquid to easily when you refill, and then you have to knock at the side a bit to get it free again.
But even that is better than the factory filling.

If anybody just wants to give this mod a try, just use half the filling of an original cart. Works fine, too, only I like to replace my filling every once in a while, so I need something else besides the original filling.

The 510 can be fiddly until you get it set up just right for you. And, to complicate matters further, your vaping style will probably change a great deal over the first couple of months - thus requiring more fiddling!

I have finally settled on the Blue Foam Dart for my cartridge filler of choice. It suits my style and was easy to make. No more fiddling needed for me!

Good luck finding what works for you!

:)

It was a general remark – whatever I do vape (unless I should ever get myself a big mod or so) has to pass the bicycle test. That kind of rules out a great deal of fiddeling while vaping.

Actually, I even own several auto batteries for that very reason. Don't know why I got them that cheap, they always blink at me so friendly when I get them out of the box :D

Thanks again!

I ordered an ego and charger. I also ordered a K48 and adapter and syringe. I bought some Fluval at the pet store. (Love my tax return!)

Guess I'm already hooked, huh?

Ah!!!! The collecting has begun! Next thing you know you will be investing in toolboxes and organizers to store your extensive stash!

:p

I don't have a 510 but I had very similar problems the first week or two. Filler mods definitely help a great deal. I'm using the blue foam for filler, and have recently being using the blue foam dart mod which works great.

With that said, I think the biggest problem was my method/pace of dragging on the ecig. Being used to sucking down an analog in 5min I was puffing away on the ecig, which would dry out the atty and not allow enough time for wicking. My method is slowing switching to a more e-cig suiting style. I drag a few times and then put the PV down for a few minutes. Pick it back up, take a few hits, put it down. And so on. in the beginning I was trying to smoke it like a cigarette, which of course causes problems (overheating, no wicking).

Hope you find a solution. It was a hassle in the beginning, but the more I use it, the more I feel like I'm finding a routine. Stability.

Thanks!

Oh yeah... I've been learning that too. Sometimes I get carried away and start chain puffing like I had a cig. I'm also slowly learning to slow down, enjoy and put the thing down once in a while to give it a rest! Heh!
