I am sad to report that I am still getting a burnt taste from the blank cartos that are labeled with the higher resistance. I received my order yesterday and was anxious to try a juice I had been using with Wow cartos that I really liked. The first one tasted burnt and quit working after the 1st draw. The second one tasted burnt too. This is a 50/50 juice.

I recommend putting a disclaimer on these that they "may not work with some juices". I don't have anything else to test them with as all my juices are 50/50. They are definitely sensitive to some juices.

This is my second round with these blanks without a good result. I am happy that everyone is not having this experience. I have spent a lot of time and money finding juices that I really like and I would rather use a flavor I like than buy prefilleds from a limited selection of ok flavors.

It's back to V4L for me. :(

I filled them with 30 drops. That was what Leaford suggested. They were not overfilled. I used the condom method and nothing came out the end when I filled them and I looked inside and they weren't oversaturated. I put in 20 drops, waited and added another 10.

I understand about defective ones. There will always be some from time to time with any supplier. From what I read here on the forum, some juices work and some don't. That is just unacceptable to me. The juices I really like only come in 50/50 blends.

I fully understand were your coming from, I was just saying that in my case I'm not 100% sure that it wasn't due to user error.
I'll have to pay closer attention with my next ones. I have noticed that not all juices preform the same in them. When I use 100% pg I get better vapor from some juices then others, you would think that if the base ingredients were the same that they wouldn't differ that much, but they do.

It seems these cartos don't like anything that's too thick. Some liquids labeled 50/50 are probably diluted with DW or PGA to make them thinner, because that's the only way I can see how people are successful vaping 50/50 in these cartos.

I agree on the desire to vape 50/50, but unfortunately it doesn't seem as if these cartos are designed to handle it. Vaperite's 50/50 isn't even that thick, but it absolutely refuses to vape without the burnt taste.

People seem to be using 70/30 with a lot of success, though, which I could live with. I have BWB 70/30 juice on the way in a bunch of flavors to test this out for myself, but PapaBloog uses it as his regular juice in BMF cartos and says it's fine.

I think the design is fantastic and produces the most vapor and best TH in an 808 carto...but at the cost of needing a larger PG ratio.

I will second the notion that 50/50 is very suspect in performance with the Bloog carts. I got vaperite's Banana's Foster and was very dissatisfied with the performance. But a 70% PG or higher works very well. It does narrow the vendors that you can use. For instance Mrs. T's Bakery uses more than 50% VG so none of her juices would work well in these carts.

Fortunately, for us Backwoods Brew uses a 70/30 mix that has great throat hit and nice clouds of vapor.

Yah but thats kinda just not good enough... To be a full sucess they HAVE to work with other juices... Other type cartos do.. why not these ones?

Exactly Michelle! When and if they ever get this issue resolved, I'll be back in a heartbeat. I am just done with the trial and error and disappointment. I choose flavor over carto.

fwiw, i havent had any problems with the new blanks and thats with thin halo juice and syrupy bobas bounty... but obviously everyone's mileage is varying :(

Thanks NDShift,

I want to try Boba's in the worst way, but it's 100% VG, so I didn't think there was any way it would work with Bloog Carts

I do think its strange how others are having a different experience than me. I have MOSTLY 50/50 juice, some of it is FSUSA juice and some of it is my own diy juice. I don't use any PGA or anything else that dilutes it or thins it out and I am just not having any issue whatsoever with the blank cartos OR the refilling the prefilleds.

I can't explain why there's different experiences. Weird.

I'm with MiztressLyn, I'm not having these problems either. Most of my juices are 70/30, but I have some 50/50's and they're working fine. One thing I do, not sure if anyone else does this, is after I put 15 to 20 drops into the top I put about 4 or 5 drops in through the bottom. Then I shake it well, blow out the excess, wipe the bottom dry, and vape. Do you think maybe putting a little through the bottom is helping it to wick?

I am another who has not had any burnt taste issues with the MaxxFusion cartomizers, even with the original blanks. And I use juice with various combinations of pg/vg, up to 40pg/60vg. I’m a bit baffled by the issue; since others have reported using high vg juice without problems it doesn’t seem the vg issue is a consistent variable.

So, FWIW, here is what I do that has led to my good experience with the MF cartos. I’m not a “heavy hitter”; I take long, slow, light drags. I have only used them on MaxxFusion batteries, MF passthru, or the Trifecta. I do not use the condom fill method; I just take the rubber cap off the carto, leave the condom cover on the battery end, tilt the carto and drip juice into it until the filling doesn’t absorb the juice anymore. If the juice has pooled on the top of the filler, I absorb the excess with a Kleenex.

I don’t use the Taryn spin or blow through the carto to get any excess out. I don’t go by number of drops, because different dropper bottles deliver different size drops. I wait for at least 10 minutes after filling a cartomizer before I vape it. I always check the battery end of the carto for any juice and dab any off before I put it on the battery. I frequently top off my cartos (while off the battery of course), never letting them get close to dry.

^^ Leaford suggested the same thing; take a long, slow, light drag. Doesn't make a bit of difference with two different brands of 50/50 juice (Vaperite in four different flavors, and High Caliber). Instant burnt taste.

slim66, that's exactly how I fill a carto. I've tried a bunch of other ways, too, including Taryn spin and condom method, without success.

My BWB juice should be here today, so I'll have some 70/30 to test.
