Hahaha! Didn't realise how it sounded when I wrote it! Good luck to you too Kit! You can kick those 2 cigs! - the benefits are enormous if you kick tobacco completely!

Just think of it like that!

If I'm really missing tobacco I just smoke my e-cig constantly until I've had enough, hehe.
Yeah i know what you mean but some times i miss that dirty "HIT" of a cigarette
i MUST BE STRONGER !

yeah kit,sometimes its hard.
it does take some extra willpower to totally bin the fags, but it's worth it in the end.

its easier to just stop than to have 1 or 2 a day IMO...otherwise its too tempting, and too fresh in the memory...makes kicking them a hundred times harder.

i wouldnt keep a cigarette in the house for that reason...we all have our weak moments.;)

are you still working off the old atomisers mate?maybe a fresh one would help a bit.

I'm back to 2-3 cigs a day since my Smart Fixx died and they're not returning my emails. I must say that I can control my nicotine intake better with a regular cig and I think I was getting too much nicotine with the e-cig with medium cartridges. I will definitely go with low cartridges in the future. The nicotine seems to have more of a delayed effect with the e-cig and one continues to smoke and then twenty minutes to half an hour later you realize you overdid it. I had to be careful to time my sessions and only take a certain amount of drags to avoid this.

I have one last pack of unopened Marlboro reds.
I keep it with me in my work bag.
I'm not sure why I still keep it. I have two e-cigs so even if one breaks I'll still have the other. I did this last time I quit smoking with the patch. But then after two weeks I ended up opening it. It was stupid of me though I would go outside with my girlfriend when she smoked. After a week or so I would start taking a hit or two off her cigs, until I just said screw it and took off the patch.
Well my girlfriend is in Japan for a while so I don't have any smokers living with me.
I'm hoping to be far enough away from cigs and enough into e-cigs when she gets back to where I'm not tempted.
She's interested in my e-cig too when she gets back I'll get her one and try to get her to "quit". :D

Hey BB

At the start of this, I kept a lifeboat pack of my usual brand lying around 'just in case'. All that happened was I was e-puffing AND going through the real thing. So for a month or so I measured it as cutting down from a pack a day to a pack every 3 days or so. Couldn't get around the start and finish of the day fags.

I finally got a good enough reason to go solo with the e-cigs and it's going well so far (6 not out).

Sounds good I'm glad you were able to drop them completely. Sometimes you just need that one reason to do it.

Maybe I'll write the date I quit smoking across the pack so that if I open it will break the seal. :D Sometimes stupid things help.
I'm not too worried about opening it though unless both my e-cigs break.

I had a chat with Bob (and others) about this on another thread, Kit. I've come to believe the real ... 'hit' (the lightheadedness) is actually brain anoxia from CO & CO2, and nothing to do with nicotine. But all this time we've associated it with nicotine. Now that we've separated lung-delivery nicotine from ignited sources, I think that nicotine doesn't actually have a hit other than the normal mild stimulant action.

What's working for me is fully charged batteries and a new cart when I get twitchy. Then I just puff my way through the craving. It's working pretty well.

Good luck Kit - though I know you'll make it!

What style is the e-cig and what strength is your liquid? If you don't have a new cartridge you could put 2 drops straight on the atomiser and smoke with a dummy mouthpiece (no fibre core). This gives loads of vapour and the closest to a real cig hit. I've only tried this on a penstyle (doing it right now).

Don't give in!

Forgot to answer your question. That yellowy dryish fibre is very common (all the to-be-squeezed carts in my junk box look like that) They do still have juice in them, as my bottle of mystery muck proves...

Im on the dse 901 mate i been dripping on atomizer with smokesters high e liquid but i think i need to change atomizer really its 3 weeks old
