Hello all,

I've searched and found only limited info regarding Stonewall and Ariva, especially about flavors so thought I would just document my experiences as I slowly try to adapt to them. I'm trying to quit smoking and vaping isn't doing it for me so started looking elsewhere.

I ordered a variety of Stonewall (natural, wintergreen, and java) and Ariva (citrus and mint) from Lil Brown Smoke Shack in WA state. I did not order cinnamon because I usually don't care for it. Ariva is a lot more expensive because you only get 10 tablets vs. 20 in a pack of Stonewall, plus Stonewall tablets are bigger. There's no indication on the packaging of the nicotine strength, but the Ariva supposedly has 1.5 mg/tablet and Stonewall is 4mg.

I smoke 10-15 Marlboro Lights per day but smoke them fast so I suppose I get the most out of a cig as possible. Still, I am finding that 1/2 an Ariva is enough for me and I spit it out before it's dissolved...get a little sluggish and too mellow if I leave it in for too long. I bought a pill cutter and have been cutting the Arivas in half and the Stonewalls in 1/4s.

Here's what I've found so far...

Half a citrus Ariva tablet works well for me. Again, I spit it out when I've had enough. It has a sweet citrus flavor that gets a little bitter right about when I'm over it anyway. Good substitute for a cig, taste is okay to me, but it leaves a slimy coating in your lip that begs to be washed out with water. Just a mild tingle in the lip, nothing to speak of.

Stonewall natural (tried 1/4 and 1/2 tablets) work pretty good as a cig substitute for me. They taste pretty bad but I'm getting used to them. To me, they taste exactly like what echinacea/goldenseal herbal supplements smell like, but also slightly sweet. Yuck. Again, slight burn in the lip, slime, and these I spit out after a while also.

Anyway, I'll try to add to this thread as I try the other flavors. Wish Stonewall would come in all flavors as that would be less expensive. So far, I'm hopeful I can transition from cigs to the dissolvable tablets. I need to quit smoking and think this might be my best shot at it right now.

    Somewhere between here and there
I like the stonewalls myself. I've never cut one up but have heard of others doing it. They are a good break from snus for me. I like the java, the wintergreen is ok and I thought the natural were awful. To me the natural taste like pipe tobacco smells.

I recently tried the natural as well and couldn't put my finger on the taste, but you nailed it. They taste exactly like Echinacea/Goldenseal tincture. They don't taste awful, but I don't think I'd get them again.

I just recently started using them. I like the fact there is nothing to remove when I'm "done", but I still prefer snus due to the taste. I know most people here don't care for the Camel snus, but it's cheap, local, readily available and satisfies the "what's missing" void I get from vaping alone. I only use one or two pieces per day (Stonewall or Camel).

I agree with you, Nate, on the Camel. I have an ample supply of Swedish but on occasion will forget my carry can. I don't have any issue with picking up a can of Camel to tie me over.
