So, while I'm new to vaping I'm already pretty hooked and if I'm going to be serious about this I need to look at my storage options. The biggest issue for me being that I have two children in the house - one is still too young to know how to work a standard flip lock (like on tackle boxes or like sewing sorters) but my oldest can pop them no problem and I can't risk having him able to open it but at the same time would like a little more access than a shelf well above my head!

Any suggestions for something I can organize/store with that also has a reasonable lock?

You could go for something like this:

Good ideas. Or keep bottles up and away with the alcohol? For parents with prescription narcotics and nosy (even pill popping) kids, they use a lockbox system. I would get something that isn't seethrough, because you don't want your kid knowing what's in there, and furthermore I read that it's best not to expose your ejuice to light.

Even those with pets should consider a safe storage solution.

My youngest still doesn't really get the concept of "poison" but he's getting there - my oldest is 7, but he has autism and is *very* into touching and mouthing things he shouldn't. They're also both climbers, so a high shelf is *probably* going to be okay (that's where they are now) but I don't want to risk it without a lock between them and it.

I'm actually really sold on something like a caboodles makeup organizer. The lock isn't a masterlock or anything, but it's enough to stop them if through some twist they manage to not only get to the high shelf but get it down without being caught. (Sidenote, children are secretly ninjas.)

I tell this to all of my converts who have kids:

"Do you realize what will happen if one of your kids gets a hold of this bottle of juice? They will think it is candy. They will drink it. They will likely die. There is no antidote. Treat is like you would treat a loaded gun."

Wow, good one. I recently converted my daughter and she now has 3 bottles of liquid and 3 small children. (and a dog) and I find myself telling her over and over to keep them up high and away from the kids. I get the "I know" answer which just isn't enough for me. She is a busy mom, and one slip could be deadly. It's such a scary thing to even think about. I'm gonna use your loaded gun idea next time I talk to her.

Meh, scratch that caboodles idea - I think tackle box or tool box is probably a more secure & less likely to break option.

I was looking at this for less than $11, love my Amazon Prime:
Amazon.com: Stack-On PB-16 16-Inch Multi-Purpose Tool Box, Black/Gray: Home Improvement
Tray is great for organizing your cartos, etc too. And you can add a lock.

Ejuices that smell like fruit or candy would be wayyyyy too tempting. I can smell my stash even when I'm a couple feet away. They look like yummy little juice bottles. Better to be safe. Remember kids' tiny bodies are different than ours, and do not have our nic tolerances either.

Being another that has 2 kids, one who is extremely curious and into everything. I got worried so in a pinch, grabbed a 16 inch tool box from walmart and a master lock. It isnt anything special but for now, it keeps my juice safely out of reach.

(Btw, around here, there isnt any such thing as a safe out of reach place as they have learned how to use chairs, etc)

My oldest is 24/7 hands on... but yeah, I fear the day they figure out moving the kitchen chairs climb higher shelves. *shudder*

Just put in an order for the box Mariss716 and a masterlock. That thing looks pretty rugged for under $20. And, since I'm still new I don't see myself outgrowing it soon.

Exactly! I have absolutely no desire for them to be near it. That box is a perfect find! Just put in an order paired with a keyed masterlock. Thank you so much for the great find!
