I avoid esoteric descriptions, also, because while I'm a relatively easy to please vaper, licorice or coconut would probably be an instant deal breaker for me. I don't have the disposable income to take a chance on mystery flavors.

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...essage-e-liquid-vendors-what-we-want-you.html This very issue came up in this thread a lot. It was very funny to see all of the thoughts on similar issues.

Ah that thread.

The good old days. Some vendors appear to have since mended their ways, some remain as snobby as ever.

My favorite juice description from an actual vendor website.

I am not saying you HAVE to scream from your rooftop that this is the best e-liquid, smoothest and most flavorful tobacco based flavor you have ever tried. I am not saying you NEED to tell everyone you know, put it on billboards and post on every forum you can find. I am not saying you NEED to make YouTube videos about this flavor even though you can barely use a computer...I am just saying you will.

That's it. And the sad part is, the only real flavor descriptor in that is "tobacco", and I couldn't find any of that.

How about the names...I mean we all know 555 and ry4...but for newbies that's all greek. Names like Bobas bounty, Angel kiss, Hawks juice...really? You have to click on everyone...and that often doesn't help much either.
That's a grey area. Naming of a juice can make or break it's allure. Having something catchy as a name is good marketing. If Boba's Bounty was just called "Hardly Tobacco But I'ts Sweet and Malty" I'm not sure it would sell....on second thought, that's not a bad name, but I think you get my point. :?:

There are enough good vendors out there with adequate descriptions so "vote with your dollars'. Given some of the really poor stuff on some websites, I can't imagine why anyone would order juice there. If they can't write or maintain a decent website they probably don't have much in the way of a juice lab (ie kitchen table).

Any vendor who needs me to spruce up their descriptions can PM me. OF course I will need some of the juice in question so that I can be accurate.

18mg, 50/50%, at least 10 mls. Thanks;)
Master Marketer, will work for juice! Given your abilities, that is a deal many vendors should take you up!

It could be a dicey proposition though. What if it tastes awful? Will they want me to send it back?

I've only bought one that didn't have a decent description. It was highly recommended, so we'll see. I didn't get it yet.
Generally I would completely agree, the super secret stealthy ninja ingredients is all well and good but a clue might be nice. Especially the ones that taste completely different to different people. Personally, watching random people vape on youtube is kinda boring so I never make it all the way to the end of the review.

But I still want your pancake recipe. lol

Nice, PM me, lol.

The first juice shop I went to online had all these crazy names and that turned me off enough I didn't even read the descriptions. So I moved on and found normally named juices. I often wonder how different my vaping would be had I bought from them. That vendor is Alice in Vapeland, ever heard of 'em?

I have to agree with XfooYen on the names. I'm fine with fanciful names, but I want the description to tell me something. One of my favorite juices is Rawr's Truth Serum. Let's be honest, Truth Serum is NOT a descriptive name, but at least in the description, it says this: "This is a Pear Coconut Cream." OK, great! I like pears, I like coconut... Worth a try. I also love the name "Truth Serum". I'm going to read the descriptions, even if I'm ordering something like "Watermelon". Is it Jolly Rancher-like? Is it fresh watermelon flavored? I want to know. I have close to 100 bottles of juice in my juice drawer. (I know, I need to join Juice Junkies Anonymous). I'm not looking for something random. I'm looking for something specific. Tell me what I'm buying.

constant state of confusion
I like the cute names too but I MUST have a description because I am have issues with many single flavors that my lungs do not allow me to vape ( Raspberry for example). It is vital for me to know what is in it. I don't need the recipe or specifics like that. I simply need to know if there are flavors that my lungs have issue with in it. Be as cute and creative as you want with the name but not with the description please.
