Storing An RDA/RBA? Let'er breathe?

So last week I bought my first mechanical mod and decided to buy an RBA (kayfun) and an rda (tobh).
Anyways, I am wondering what is the recommended method of storing these if I decide to just work with one for a while.
For the RDA, if wick is still moist, do I just let it breathe or put it in a ziplock? Or should I remove wicks?
Same for the RBA, can I store as is, even halfway through a juice? Should I empty and clean it if I won't be using it for 3 day (2 weeks? 2 months?). What about the wick?

I wipe out my topcap and o rings and leave the coils/wicks kinda dry to keep it from leaking. But, now I'm wondering.....

short term leave as is - long term remove wick and clean them out

As stated above, short term, don't need to do anything. Long term, remove the wick. The longest my Kayfuns sit without use is a day or two and they are always fine. My drippers can sit a week or more, so I remove the wick. I tend to only use my drippers to test juice or if I am in a mood to use them.
