I just wanted to let everyone know that I received word this morning that Imagine is currently stuck without power for the next couple days due to the storm- from what I understand, the area she is in is currently flooded with about 3 feet of water- But she is safe (and hopefully dry!).
So please just let me know if you have any questions over the next few days til she is able to rejoin us here on the forum! :D

Thanks for letting us know Cooki3! I don't post much on the forums but have been lurking to read about all the members who were affected by the storms, most have checked in and that is wonderful!

I have not heard anything about the actual store in NJ. Hopefully there isn't too much damage to it, especially since they just opened. =(
Here in Ohio though, we have just been getting massive amounts of rain.

I've been wondering how SI is holding up. Don't they have their new store in NJ? Hope the SI crew is doing okay.

I hope Imagine is doing OK, she needs a generator and a sump pump from the sound of it. The thought of running out of vaping batteries is just too terrible to think about! I don't know Hoboken at all, but I hope the store is far enough back form the river and high enough to have stayed dry. The rest of you at SI keep safe!

Well, a big thanks to Imagine for this thread. I hope she and the other SI staff are all safe and keeping dry.

I am so sad about the 80+ fatalities from this storm. But I am also thankful and grateful for the ones who survived it. Many areas will be underwater and/or without power for some time. I am keeping everyone in my thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery from the devastation.

Hi guys.... Finally getting cell reception ... Things are devastated by me.... I am in a building with no power or elevator at least on the 5th floor and not the 12th lol.... The river and ocean surges were un believable .... My building was surrounded by 6 feet of water on all sides.... Cell phone towers were taken out so had no phone for 2 days.... That was scary.... No stop lights ... Trees down etc... Water finally receded ... Made my way to the Hoboken store today.... Although there was a sailboat down the street aside from the power out the store was untouched and should be open next week. I am safe and dry ... But I will be Mia until power is restored ... Thank you all for the kind words and good luck and safety to all who were affected.

Canada is massive...

lol

Sandy, or the remnants there of, are massive as well. This morning the center was well north of Quebec and it's still cloudy here in New Jersey from the clouds from it. Looking at the maps it extends well into Minnesota and points north, as in Canada. I guess if you're in the Sakasawan (sp) area or further west or maybe in Nova Scotia, you won't see much.

I hope the flooding, if there was any, isn't too bad in Ohio. You'd think it would have rained itself out by now! The rain stopped here on Monday other than an occasional passing sprinkle. It has been enough to keep everything wet though. It was a little sunny this morning, but then the clouds won out yet again. According to the forecast it'll be Saturday before we get real sunshine again. The temps haven't gotten over 55 during the day and drop to about 30 at night. It is starting to get a little depressing here too.

Well considering I'm on the west coast I dont think I'll be seeing her ;P

Then again it rains for 8 months of the year here anyways so who can tell?

The last flooding we got here was 10 to 20 years ago when the ohio river flooded. I was working downtown at the time and parked in the reds/bungles stadium. It put a huge headache for a few days on the commuters. Prior to that it was when my grandfather was a kid and there was a massive flood of the river.

Ill blow some sunshine north. It been a week for us. It was a pleasant surprise to walk out for lunch and let the sun beat down on me. Its just a matter of time and patience.

Hi guys still in the dark :( gas has run out around here too hoping for things to get better soon... Thank you all for watching over the forum in my absesece.

Oh, man, Imagine.....I am so sorry for you all there. Been watching the news and been frustrated with the bureaucracy we call a gov't. They can manage to get troops and supplies all over the world in a timely manner except in our own back yard!
Hang in there we are all praying for you. :(
