Hey i just got a new bottle of HV Strawbarries and Cream and it tastes pretty good.. not actually the color i thought it would be though. heh thinking it would of been red but anyways.. wifes says it smells like Cotton Candy? She likes the smell though (Which is a good thing!) lol.. as i cant stop vaping in the house and i've never smoked in the house and its a little unsettling to her.

Ask her to describe the smell - I think she thinks she smells it. My wife doesn't smell anything after I vape.

With all due respect to your significant others, nicotine is colorless and odorless. No one can possibly be smelling nicotine. It's more likely they are smelling other components of your e-cig, such as the flavoring, and mistaking it for nicotine. Nonsmokers are often very keyed up and expectant about someone smoking around them. I'm reminded of the person who thinks they see someone "smoking" and automatically goes into convulsions of fake coughing before realizing the person has an e-cig and not a real cigarette.

True, the nicotine is usually mixed with pg and/or vg as a base liquid for mixing. The aroma in the vapor produced by this base liquid is the aroma my wife associates with, and labels as, nicotine. That being said, the higher mg strength of nic solution requiring me to add a higher volume of vg/pg to reduce the mg strength to a usable level for me, seems in turn, less objectionable to her. Buying nic solution at already acceptable mg levels seems to be the most objectionable. This leads to my questioning thought - Is there something else added at the original factory/vendor mixing that might contribute to the objectionable aroma? Just my observation.

I thought that was nic. but i guess not then what was it. also years ago when i smoked in the house in the 70 s say if you sat in a certain chair for years the ceiling above would get yellowish. Did nicotime cause that yellowish color or something else.
man guys i remember when i was a small kid in the 50 s and my mother used to tuck me in at nite she always had a cig in her lips and i loved that smell. so what the heck is that smell. Now i hate that smell so goes to show ya what ecigs are doing for us.

Actually, nicotine is described as colorless and odorless, however there are many forms of nicotine and extraction processes available...The Nic I use is extracted from tobacco...Some companies use pharmaceucital nicotine that may or may not be extracted from nicotine...Tobacco has an odor and anything that is burndt will have an odor as well...
