The constant barrage of negative publicity about vaping is really starting to get to me. I read something full of misinformation or outright lies on the news or an article posted here at ECF and I get really upset. I'm can't help but take this personally and I'm having a hard time coping at times. I literally have to walk away some days. I don't know if I'm alone in this way or if others get to the point where it's just to much and the stress levels get to high. I'm certainly not dealing with this very well but I don't know how to emotionally detach from a topic that means so much to me. Ok, I'm gonna go chain vape now to try relieve some stress induced from another crappy article I just read.
I feel just like you do. In fact I've written to consumer reports twice about their shoddy non investigation stories. I think the only thing that saves me is seeing other people with one. It's like a private club! I just met a woman who has had mini strokes and has dementia and she's got her ego/tank sitting right next to her! She couldn;t talk clearly but I sure made her feel special.
Some of the public can lie all they want. Truth is, I see more and more people with their PV's-it's becoming the fashion. I do carry mine in public everywhere I go. Just holding it is like a fashion statement, LOL.
With all this BS, there is no law against inhaling steam, using propylene glycol or glycerin, carrying a battery, or a capsule of fluid. The worst the gov thinks they can do is limit or ban nicotine. But they would have to ban nicotine in cigarettes as well. A ban like that -I wonder if it can make an exception for tobacco, and ban all the other stuff. I don't think so. How bout if you vape nicotine free? There is no law to break there.
Can you imagine being arrested and sitting at court while some cop explains to the judge that you were arrested for carrying a battery, pg, or glycerin, or inhaling steam (without nicotine)? It would have to be laughed out of court, because none of that stuff is illegal or breaking laws.
And how many of us are willing to limit our flavors to only those used by alcoholic beverage makers? Do those companies add flavoring to attract kids? I wonder.
