i just mixed some honeydew from tpa at 8% with some other flavors and the perfumy note is there, i tried it at 4% but i could hardly taste the flavor now at 8% i can taste it but its just a bit to strong... should this perfumy note go away after a long steep or should i just forget this flavor? Tpa is such a pain in the ... some flavors need 12% some need 3%.... But i gotta get it right so help me thanks.

I haven't tried that particular flavor but I don't think it's just TFA that has the problem of some being good at 12% and others 3%. I think some flavors are just stronger. Now if 4% was too weak and 8% perfumey. I was thinking if you still have both mixes, try mixing a ml of each. Maybe 6% will be perfect. Good luck :toast:

Yes honeydew is a bit perfumy by itself I would only use it as a mixer.

I use it at 3% in my Morning Dew and 6% in my Honey Bear recipe which you can try making up a batch of my TFA secret sauce.

Honey Bear
6% Honey Dew
3% Ripe Bananna
3% Strawberry Bananna
1% Honey
1% Sweet Cream
1% Sweetener
