I think my quest to quit smoking has led me to a stronger addiction to nicotine than I had before when I was smoking a pack of marb lights a day 4 months ago. I no longer smoke but I vape all day long like crazy n I always get 18 mg or 1.8% from johnson creek. I no longer crave analogs but my vaping I think has gone out of control if I don't have it for a short period of time I get very mad and frustrated. Thing is I have no idea how much nicotine I am getting I vape about 2-3 ml a day of Johnson creek domestic 1.8%. My job is very boring and I sit on a chair with my feet up for 9+ hours out of my 12 hour shift so I just vape and vape and vape... Sometimes I feel like I overdosed on nicotine as I get a headache n feel sick to my stomach. I feel like if I bump down the nicotine level I will be cranky n mad all the time.

Hi Mighty! For the first 6 months or so, I had a terrible habit of chain vaping. It just naturally tapered off for me after time. I can go much longer now without having my PV, and sometimes even forget it when I go out without much discomfort.

Please make sure that you are drinking tons of water, as being dehydrated and vaping will make you feel horrible. I needed to up my water intake a lot in order to not feel queasy.

It seems like a simple suggestion but may be worth a shot.

Yea never thought about that as I sweat like crazy at work too for the time I am on the shop floor working with liquid steel at 2800-2900 degrees at a steel mill wonder if that's the problem...

When quitting smoking for vaping, some withdrawals are to be expected. Cigarettes have been tampered with for years by tobacco companies to make them more effective, and of course there are many things in cigarettes that contribute to this addiction besides tobacco.

My solution was to simply go have a cigarette! Didn't take too many of those dual-use sessions to realize that I really didn't like cigarettes.

I keep a bottle of water with me at all times now. I work from a home office and can get vape crazy and dehydrate really quickly if I forget. I get headaches, nausea, jitters, fatigue etc, etc and it only happens if I forget to drink throughout the day. Before vaping, I drank coffee all day - now I have to have a few in the am and drink 8 or so bottles h2o daily. Probably healthier just because of that lol.

I vape 2ml of 1.8mg per day (or 2.0) and find it replaces my 20mg a day tobacco habit just nicely.

2ml of 18mg is 36mg. You/we don't get all 36mg, and I consider it somewhere around half of that. Half of 36mg is 18mg. Riddle solved.

An unsmoked tobacco cig rated at 1.0mg has 10mg in it before you smoke it. 36mg - worth of e-juice will not be 36mg yield.

f.w.i.w. I can do a day wearing a 20mg patch too.

These 3 figures in my mind are not coincidence. 20mg on cigs, 20mg on a patch over 16 hours, 36mg of nicotine (before vaping) vaped. It's got to be similar. ??

I didn't totally quit analogs either at first. For the first few weeks, I still had a few stinkies during the course of the day. I gradually stepped away a little at a time.

Um, yeah ...no, this isn't the way it works. E-liquid is mixed at % of nicotine/ml ...what you are calling "18mg" is actually 1.8% nicotine/ml of 'base' (PG/VG/Flavoring/etc). Doubling that to 2ml doesn't double the nicotine, 1.8% of 1ml is still 1.8% of 2ml ...yes, you have twice the 'amount' of nicotine, but you also have twice the amount of base ingredients as well, keeping the percentage the same.

Sounds to me like there are a number of factors at work with you: First off, be aware that it can take any number of months for your body to completely adjust to being off cigarettes (it depends on your particularly physiology and how long you smoked). Some of what you're feeling may be quit-smoking effects and little to do with vaping. Also, both headaches and nausea are early warning signs of dehydration, as others have said, so do be sure to drink enough water. Don't wait to feel thirsty before drinking.

Also, your chain vaping may be related to physical rituals (hand-to-mouth, exhaling vapor) and opportunity more than to "addiction" or "dependence" on nicotine. As a smoker, I had to have that cigarette at regular intervals, regardless of what I was doing. It often meant stopping in the middle of a task to smoke. As a vaper, if I'm at the computer or reading or watching TV, I'll chain vape, simply because I can, but when I'm doing something like washing the car or mowing the lawn or painting a wall, I can go hours without even thinking about having a vape.

Regarding your nic levels, use what works for you, but I'd suggest you try keeping your devices loaded with a variety of levels and using them in rotation. This wil allow you to go to a lower level at times but you'll still have the 18mg available if you feel the need.

Just remember that there are many more factors involved with the "habit" of vaping than the nicotine itself, and that nicotine has been shown to be as addictive, or dependence-forming, as the caffeine in your coffee or soda.

+1 for all the advice above-re hydrating will become your 'other' new best habit :)
the chain vaping will level off, like others have said its a sinch to go for hours without vaping once things settle for you
Chain vaping?? - well it IS far more enjoyable than smoking (bet you couldn't have smoked 3 Marlboro lights one after the other?) so there is one plus you may have overlooked-the Nic delivery is a lot leaner than the instant intoxication from a cigarette.
Dont sweat it :p
