I've been vaping about 18 months, for the first 3 months I gave up analogs totally, I then had a slip and have been smoking and vaping since, I want to vape full time and give up analogs totally but its a struggle. Longest I've went since is 1 week. Its madness as I don't even enjoy the analogs, I take a few puffs then put it out wasting over half the cig. I smoke an analog first thing in the morning then in the evening when I come home from work, so I am averaging 2 per day which is a hell of an improvement from the 30 I used to smoke before I got my ecig but I want of them totally. Is anyone else struggling to break free from the analogs? As I say it baffles me as I don't even like them anymore.

I wouldn't beat yourself up too bad. Those two times you mention - first in the morning and after work have been the hardest times for me as well. It's all I can do to keep from lighting up, but not keeping them in the house helps a lot. That way it's a pretty major pain to get them. And yes, 2 is a lot better than 30.

I stopped smoking within 4 days of starting to vape. But the cravings were really bad for me first thing in the morning. What helped me was to have a higher nic tobacco flavored juice for my first vape with coffee. I would grab a cup of coffee and head out to the porch like I did as a smoker, and just chain vape until it went away. Did this for a couple of weeks and then it was all good.

Don't stress though. Two cigs a day is still a huge improvement. Celebrate that, even if it takes a while to let them go.

Wow you're like me, having one in the morning and in the evening. Don't worry though, those other
2-3 a day will go away. Congrats on dropping down to 2 a day from 30. I'm down to 2-4 a day.

After vaping, those few cigs a day taste like burnt raccoons ... on a stick don't they?

:D

+1 to what others have said...it's a bit of an adjustment...I really enjoyed smoking, smoked 2 packs a day and didn't want to quit, just knew I needed to for health reasons and such. Until I found a setup that was easy and convenient for me, I would reach for the analogs from time to time. Now I might have an analog once a week or so when I'm out drinking with my friends that smoke, but that's it. Look at it this way - every cig you don't smoke - because you're vaping - is progress!

I agree with the suggestion for higher nic in the morning - for the heavily addicted the am is bad because we haven't had our nicotine all the hours we were sleeping.

If you can't cut out the 2 a day right now, can you move them slightly? (ie morning one 30 minutes later, evening one 30 minutes earlier). If you keep changing that you might find they are not as hard to cut out if you don't have all the connections to your usual routine associated with them.

Good luck and congratulations for cutting down so much!
