I've just switched from smoking to vaping and I've got myself a Kamry x6 set. I've only been using for a few days and I've been keeping them standing upright. Is it OK to leave them on their side for a prolonged time (talking a day or two here). I'm a bit worried about the liquid in the tank messing something up if it's not kept upright.

Again, apologies for the most basic of questions.

Hi Shironeko, and welcome aboard :toast:

We all came to vaping not knowing the basics, so no need to apologize!

Not sure what toppers came with your kit, but in theory it shouldn't matter. If all the pieces are snugly assembled and not damaged. But even if they do leak or seep, it's not going to damage anything, but might require taking it off the battery and cleaning it all up. Cotton swab, twist of tissue or similar generally works fine. If it's dried on, a bit of isopropyly alcohol on the swab will take care of that.

Sometimes you'll get liquid into the air tube, which makes for a very unpleasant vape. Again, taking it off an gently blowing through it (which end depends on whether top or bottom coil) will correct that.

That said, I do generally keep all my gear upright. Too many of those round things just want to roll away! Short of a rack or stand, a heavy glass makes a fine holder.

If the topper looks like this one then you should try to keep it upright. Those are top coil clearomizers. Most will flood if liquid gets above the point where the wick goes to the coil. That is easy enough to fix by removing it and blowing the excess liquid out, gently. Be sure the connector is dry and clean before attaching to the battery. Yours may be an exception and the coil is better sealed but that would probably mean it isn't wicking fast enough.

If it doesn't look like that give us an idea what the topper looks like. Most don't have that same flaw as the top coil design.
