This is what I have got. A hcigar nemesis clone using a 18650 battery. A IGO-W RDA with 4 micro coils all with 8 wraps. Ohms are reading at a .8 I checked that the coils are firing evenly and at the same time. Currently using cotton wicks. There is not to much juice in the wicks as I have vaped the excess out. It isn't even hitting as good as my mini protank on my SVD! Am I missing anything? I am also using a vapesafe fuse and have used an ohms calculator.

What am I doing wrong? Considering changing my wicks to readywick or ekowool though I doubt that is the issue as I have seen many use cotton for sub ohm builds. I still have flavor which is a plus. Lower than .8 becomes harsh though. I just really wanted to have the cloud experience and have research everything online and am at a loss to explain why it isn't working.

If anyone has any suggestions that would be great. Thanks.

The reasons you're not getting much clouds is lack of airflow. A lot of people will drill holes in the IGO W to create a better airflow. I myself am using a stillare clone with a .7 ohm dual coil and blow massive clouds with 50/50 blends.

Edit: You'll need to adjust your airholes directly to your coil.

Yeah I made sure it was a proper battery before purchase. Efest 18650 1600mah 30 amp. I promise I am not going to be the fool who messes with sub ohms without checking all the proper info out. I am going to rewick and open the airholes as much as possible There are 4 large and 2 small holes. If I have to drill more I will but would rather not. Such a simple thing (not enough air) to have overlooked. Thanks guys.

honestly just because its sub ohm doesnt mean instant clouds. a 1 ohm build can produce clouds just the same and a .7 ohm. its all about air flow. position coils directly in front of air holes and even with the air hole. not below the airhole, not above the airhole... right in front. make sure you arent overstuffing your rda with wick, too much cotton or whatever wicking material you use will disrupt the airflow inside the RDA. you might just try a simple dual coil setup. the harder you try to blow clouds, the harder you are trying to have a vape...... vaping isnt meant to be hard. go with an easy simple quick setup and you will be surprised what happens without trying. happy vaping

With that i think I will break it down to 2 coils and make sure the large holes are opened where the coils sit and that the coils sit in front of the air holes, reduce my wick (yeah there was a bit much) and maybe raise the ohms up to a 1.0 or 1.2. You have a good point about keeping it simple to start.

Thanks for the help everyone. I think I am going to take a break and build the dual coil in a bit. Sometimes it is good to walk away for a bit and start again a little later, plus I want to continue playing my game. I have to give the computer over to my husband soon.

You're vaping at roughly 20 watts. Divide 20 by 4 and you are getting 5 watts per coil....it is probably not enough watts for each coil to produce large clouds. Rule of thumb is whatever watts you vape at with a single coil you have to quadruple that with 4 coils. So if you vape at ten watts with a single coil you have to vape around 40 watts with quad coils. So whatever is you favorite single coil just make 4 of the same coils and you will automatically be vaping at 4 x the watts and blowing large clouds. As other have mentioned you need proper airflow or it won't work.

4/R = 1/0.8
3.2 = R

Your vaping on 3 ohm coils.

Perfect 1 coil; when yu got that, add the second one and double the vape.

I only have 32g right now and have been having issues building at lower than 2.5 ohms otherwise I probably would have done that. To make it easier with the 32g I just went for all 4. I do have some 28g but have not been happy with the quality so I have stopped using it (it has a weird metallic taste) though I was able to build a .8 ohm coil with it. I am waiting on some 26g and 30g in the mail. I am talking about kanthal. Until I get the other wire I'll try a dual and should get about 1.2 ohms with it which is a good start. For what its worth my four coils were pretty damn beautiful.

Definitely make sure your nemesis contacts are making adequate connection. Be sure the igo is fully screwed in. Lastly, airflow airflow airflow. Basically, lower ohms + larger airholes = huge plumes. Also, be sure your batteries are charged. A battery fresh off the charger is 4.2 which will hit surprisingly much harder than a dying battery at 3.7. Hope this helps.
