So I've read a lot about how dangerous sub ohm vaping is, how the battery can explode, etc. But my question is, that if I use an istick 50 watt to sub ohm aren't a lot of the dangers taken out of the equation? I don't go crazy low, usually right around the .5 ohm. My understanding is that unregulated mods are more dangerous, and the istick is regulated.

Thanks for all the responses. I thought it was safe, but I just wanted to make sure. And like said above, it uses WAY more juice, but its totally worth it.
The lowest you can build on an Istick 50w is .2 which is good bc you stay right around .5. Also batteries matter, you want to make sure you are running good batteries.

I get what your saying, but the 50 watt istick doesn't have removable batteries, so hopefully the manufacturer is using good battery's.

I use an iStick 50 w with a Subtank at .5 every day with no worries.

I use a mechanical all day, every day with builds as low as .01 but I stay around .03 myself and feel perfectly safe.
Probably because I build my own coils and have a preference to what resistance on what atomizer.
I also keep my batteries properly rotated and married. (The mod I use is dual 18650 batteries) It's important to keep married pairs together and rotated.

Hi @tron cat
everything can be dangerous if mid-used or used without the right knowledge.
With that being if you wants to sub-ohms with a regulated device you kind of protected by the technology on the mod.. but again, be mindful of battery Amps limitation and treat properly the device. For Mech Mods you got to learn a bit more but if used properly they are safe.
Don't be thrown off by comments on the web, learn your craft in places like this forum and in no time you will be an happy, knowledgeable sub-ohms vaper! Vape On!

Please fix those decimal points, please.
