Sub-ohming/Throat hit

When sub-ohming, what would 3mg and 6mg of nicotine equal too when not sub-ohming/using clearomizer tank? Considering i'll be using 70%VG and up.

Probably nothing with almost no nic and mostly VG. More volume of vapor doesn't increase throat hit...

I would say it would be almost double. So 6mg at sub ohm would be about 12 mg .

If you buy 6 mg and it's too harsh or has too much throat hit you can always buy the same juice in zero nic and mix the two together equally to cut the nicotine in half. 6 + 0 divided by 2 = 3 mg.

I am confused on how you are asking it. Are you asking it as "I am vaping 3mg to 6mg on a sub-ohm coil, what would be the equivalent for a non sub-ohm coil?" or are you asking "I am vaping 3mg to 6mg on a non sub-ohm coil, what would be the equivalent for a sub-ohm coil?"

If you are currently using 3mg to 6mg on a sub-ohm coil and looking to switch over to a non sub-ohm, you would be looking at around 6mg to 12mg for the non sub-ohm coil. If you are currently using 3mg to 6mg on a non sub-ohm, you would be looking at 1mg to 3mg for a sub-ohm coil.

@speedy_r6 Sorry, i used 24 and 18mg on non-subohm, never used sub-ohm so i don't know how harsh its gonna be, i want my sub-ohm throat hit to feel like 12-16mg, would that be 6mg?

wattage and nicotine strength go together:
20 mg at 5 watts
10 mg at 10 watts
5 mg at 20 watts
2 mg at 50 watts

I would probably tell you to just go with the 6mg and try that as a start. If it feels too harsh, you can always get a bottle of 0mg and mix them so it lowers the nic content(mixing equal amounts of 6mg with 0mg will drop it down to 3mg). If it feels too weak, you can get a bottle of 12mg and mix those to raise the nic a little bit(mixing equal amounts of 6mg and 12mg will raise it to 9mg). If the 6mg feels just right, then you are good to go.

No.......... You are getting throat hit and nicotine level confused......... Yes, if you use 6MG on a sub ohm then that would be equivalent to about 12 MG (depending upon wattage used) of nicotine getting into your body but the throat hit will still be that of 6MG........ In other words, the throat hit will be much less at 6mg even though you are sub ohming at higher wattage levels.

I've explained this a couple times, break down from clearo down to RTA down to Sub-ohm is way I generally describe it. Pack a day full flavor kings smoker, roughly 12 to 18mg, more like 15mg will work.

Clearomizer like an Aspire Nautilus 1.8ohm, 8 to 12 watts - 15 to 18mg (1 to 1 ratio)
RTA like a Kayfun 1.2ohm coil, 12 to 15 watts - 7.5 to 9mg, 12mg generally works (2 to 1 ratio)
Sub-ohm RDA at 0.5 to 0.9ohm coil (Sub-ohm tanks like Subtanks and Atlantis use this ratio), 15 to 30 watts, 4.5mg to 6mg (3 to 1 ratio)
Super Sub-Ohm RDA at 0.2 to 0.45 ohms, 60 plus watts, 1.5 to 3mg (4 to 1 ratio)
