Subtank mini - slow leak at the top hole

Hello - I've been vaping for 3 years but this is my first post.
I've been using my subtank mini for a couple weeks. I'm still on my first coil, a pre-built 1.2 ohm OCC.
After a couple of weeks I'm starting to get a slow leak at the top hole - the hole where the mouth piece goes in.
I've seen posts for leaks at the air holes, but not for the top hole.
Any ideas on how to remedy this would be appreciated.

Hi, and welcome!

Two possibilities come to mind, both with the same fix.

Either you're drawing too hard and pulling excess juice up, or it's just normal condensation. Just pop out the drip tip and swab out the hole with a Qtip or twist of tissue. Maybe do the same to the inside of the drip tip as well.

thank you for your reply.
Cleaning up after a leak doesnt seem like a fix to me. Drawing too hard would be hard to quantify - I just draw like I always have. So we think slow leaking out the top hole is normal and expected and there's nothing wrong with my subtank mini? The leak I guess is "slow" but it is enough to eventually leave several drops of a mess.
thanks

A tiny bit of juice build up from those big clouds is normal, but a leak isn't. If you turn it upside down and it slowly drips then no that's not normal. Maybe something has loosened it's way up over the time you got the tank. Maybe it got flooded and needs a good chimney sweeping with a q tip. If you leave your tank in the car and it's cold for an extended period of time that is something that can flood. There will be a slight gurgle to go along with it. If so take it apart wash it clean it, make sure all the o rings are snug and in the right direction. If you need help with any of that let us know.

a slight leak in anything subtank isn't normal. If using the rebuild able top it may not be on correctly, could be a lot of things but how is it leaking?

are you storing the tank upside down? silly question, but valid, i guess.

maybe the seat on the top OCC head o-ring isnt very good. take a look at it and see if there isn't a bad spot that is letting juice into the draw shaft. if it looks good, take the head and run it under hot water and try to move it. maybe fiddling with it or replacing it will help. check the 'roundness' of the barrel that connects to the tank portion. that's the area i'd look for the leak.

Every time I go to refill one of my subtanks I take the drip tip out, wipe it down (theres always juice around the O-ring, this is normal), and then usually dab some paper towel in the drip-tip bore. I'm assuming you are referring to the nominal amount of fluid that builds up by the drip-tip through normal use, in which case, this is totally normal.

If you are seeing liquid as similar to pic below, then it's condensation and that's normal.

if you're using high wattage, there's a lot more crackling and popping that brings juice up. try lower to around 20 watts, which will save your battery life too. i've noticed that the driptip gets too warm at high watts. after trying dual nano coils and parallel coils, and found that a single macro coil (0.6 ohms) at around 20 watts is perfect for me.
