If you're asking if a sub tank mini is over rated I would say yes. I threw my mini in the garbage because it leaked so bad.. I got a couple Crown subtanks that are absolutely the best tanks I have vaped yet.. however I should say I'm not a tootle puffer and love to sub ohm at 65-70w... the efficient nicotine delivery is awesome, as well as flavor using the .25 stainless/Japanese cotton coils in the Crown..just sayin

No I haven't.. These .25 stainless coils are tops! They hit so good at 65-70w I have no desire yet to try the RBA..they use alot of juice if I chain vape but the nicotine delivery is awesome! Two good deep lung hits with .5ngs of nic and I'm good for at least 45 min to an hour..so juice does last longer not having to hit it often...

the problem is in my country, its hard to lay my hand on vaping related gear. i've been eyeing on the crown since i saw mike vape video, waiting for its RBA arrived. but then i started hearing ppl complaining abt its rba section, comparing it to the bellus tank.

Like I said earlier the stock .25 dual vertical stainless coil hits so well I haven't had the desire to even try the RBA deck yet... but I'm sure with the right build I will be impressed with it as well. I'm getting two weeks out of the stock coil and I have 3 boxes of coils on my shelf. When I use these up I might give the RBA a try ...

Have you tried the Subtank? I don't sub-ohm at all and never will. And I don't recommend sub-ohming to anyone, let alone new vapers. I use my Subtank as a mouth to lung device--halfway open airflow, 10-12 watts or so, 1.2-1.6Ω coils. I didn't like the drip tip so I switched to a taller and narrower one and it works great for my style of vaping. And I just learned that the Subtank works with Aspire BVC coils and Kanger PT2 coils--perfect for the MTL crowd. :D

Sorry for the late reply , haven't been around , yes, i have tried the Subtank but not at the settings you talk about . Thanks for the info.

thats your opinion. in my case it was one of my first tanks. it is still under use months later. also, anyone who i have had try vaping i have given them my subtank kit to use because of its simplicity.

Indeed it is my opinion lol, lots and lots of people buy the Subtank as their first tank and have little experience with most of the other stuff thats been a mainstay on the market for years .

A big reason why they like it so much

The amount of voiced issues regarding the Subtanks isn't surprising, considering they're the most popular sub-ohm tanks on the market, especially among inexperienced users.

Personally, I think we're lucky that they're so popular and commonly supplied to newcomers. There are certainly many tanks and brands that would've deserved this market position a lot less!

hate to sound rude, but reports of leaks are just dumb people that probably just started vaping and have no clue what they're doing, or using some cheap clones. granted there are legitimate cases where a defective tank leaks and what not, but almost all of the time the leaks are user error, either over tightening and smashing the crap out of the o-rings or too loose.

it's like the protanks, ive heard of people complaining they leak, but i've had several tanks and over the past two years not a single leak out of any of them, even the tanks that are full and just sitting on the shelf for months at a time. heck, im still using the original o-rings.. and on top of that i soak my tanks occasionally in alcohol to clean them out and that is not recommend because it can ruin the seals, yet my tanks are still perfectly leak-free.

sub ohm-ing isnt such a big deal anymore, i have got a few people off the stinky's, all straight into the sub ohm crowd (.3 to .8 ohms, so nice and high, for todays standards at least). and the Subtank really is a must own, its the best kit on the market, all in one box, solid performance, good looks. you cant ask for more. i run mine at .2ohms 26 gauge titanium for TC and non TC vaping, pure flavor, great amount of vapor, just a real top notch tank, close second is the OBS T-VCT

Sub-ohming never was a big deal. :)

It used to be a necessity for people who used mechanical mods--they had to build sub-ohm coils to get higher wattages at 3.7v... That's all it was about. Then the term sub-ohming somehow began to mean high wattage vaping. But with high-wattage mods, sub-ohm coils are really not necessary.

it felt kind of Taboo until the subtank/atlantis came out. i didnt know anyone that had used a box mod or a res under 1.2 ohms until then

I would sa NO - it's not overrated it's great atty and with proper wicking the flavour and vapor is very good. moreover it's very cheap tank! RBA in Subtank is much better than Crown RBA!
i'm thinking of getting the crown tank. i have the subtank mini, but couldn't go higher than 30w. may i asked how is it better than the crown?

This is my current pet peeve lately. With respect- I don't understand how someone can conclude that based on speculation, or their singular experience. The amount of "mine works fine, you must have done something wrong" around here is baffling to me.

Many of these companies are new, and are turning out products using poor QC at times. Mistakes happen all the time that they acknowledge. Just imagine all that we don't know that happens.

Add to that the many revisions that are happening at all times after a product release and of course the many different products that are combined that add up to one persons experience (juice, battery, mod, tank etc) -it's easy to see why 2 people using the same product would have very different experiences. What I don't understand is why would someone choose to assume user error over any company with a history of mistakes.

Brand loyalty is a frightening thing to me.

I found the subtank mini has taken the limelight from my kayfuns. I now use the subtank more than the kayfuns, it goes to work with me and so far in the few months of daily usage it hasn't leaked or anything but worked flawlessly. I don't use the stock coils but the RBA, 1.2 ohm twisted 30 gauge rayon coil. The subtank with RBA has also made my wife ditch the protanks and thats also makin me happy since I can recoil, rewick and have her subtank RBA ready to go in bout 5 minutes.
I don't care if peeps say the subtank is overrated, the 2 I have work exactly as they should and yes I would say that most problems are new users who either incorrectly assemble or over tighten thus damaging the orings.
