Yeah I will let people that can build much better than me on it help, I have really not done any building myself.
All of my liquid is higher VG - 80/20 and 65/35 have been no problem on a 0.5 ohm OCC coil though. I run the 80/20 around 30-35 watts, the 65/35 I have run up to 45 watts with no issues. When I have some free time, I will attempt to build on my Subtank Mini rba and see how badly I do

It's a very easy deck to build on. Really.

Good luck!

I would get with the times and try a kayfun v4, but I don't feel like dealing with a million pieces.

That's what I used to say before I got one. Now it's my all time favorite topper. Doesn't get any better than K4. If you decide to get one, the Tobeco clone is the best. :)

i had a subtank i feel too many people complaining its leak.. is it because we of rubber or the glass build is bad?
when it first came out... it was the best all in one subohm tank, tight draw, great flavor, rba section, too bad it leaked for me otherwise i would've kept it, it would just randomly leak at the afc area, couldn't even leave it sideways, keep in mind this is the original 25mm subtank and the 22mm subtank mini i was using, the revised ones probably dont leak now

crown tank and tfv4 mini are better imo
aromamizer if you are into rtas

popular but not the best

I won't get into details, but I rebuild either every day, or every other day. Taking apart all those pieces and getting it back together sounds like a pain. How does the v4 compare to the KFL+v2? I think I saw a video that said they tasted pretty similar.

You never have to deal with all those pieces, really. The K4 comes fully assembled, and I never took it apart completely--just gave it a brief soak in warm water and a few drops of mild dishwashing detergent, rinsed and air dried. I use the simplest configuration with the PC tank because I don't much care for the bulge. It's also lighter this way.

The advantages of K4 over the KFL+V2:

-top filled
-more airflow (fully adjustable)
-the deck can be removed for rebuilding without draining the tank
-no whistling ;)

WRT flavor--it's a Kayfun. 'Nuff said. Doesn't get any better than that, IMHO.

May I suggest you watch some videos to get an idea how those work.

I haven't been having a ton of luck with flavor from my builds on the STM deck, but my dual builds have been rocking on my velocity clone (another dead simple build deck) so I have been running OCC Ni200 coils in the tank and enjoying it.

RBA or premade coils? What wattage? I've used both verticals and horizontals, 1.2 and 1.5Ω, mid- or a bit more than mid air setting, 10/12 watts. No problems.

After suffering with coil burning problems on the premade 1.5Ω coils, I turned to the RBA at about 15 watts. I just found it a challenge to balance MTL vapor production with the heat the Subtank produces. It just became easier to throw a new coil in the Nautilus and be done with it.

I'm MTLing with mine with no issue. Using the 1.2 ohm coil with it wide open on the ring. It's on my Sigelei 50w vr2 at 13 watts. Vaping fantastic.

OK, so maybe I shouldn't give up on my Subtank. I may return to it after testing out some of Aspire's newer coil options.

And another reminder from CASAA:

Last chance to participate in the CASAA E-Cigarette Survey - 2015. We need everyone who hasn't voted to PLEASE take the survey. Your voice counts!

We’ve added a few thousand new CASAA members and we want to make sure we’ve contacted everyone about this opportunity. We’re taking responses to our survey until 12:00 PM (EST) on Saturday, December 12th. After that, we’ll need to focus on preparing the data to present to OMB/OIRA next week.
