hello everyone. I have been fascinated by this electronic cigarette product and really think it has helped so many people.

I am doing a cover story and would like to hear from people that have successfully quit smoking using the electronic cigarette.

These stories would be paid for and of course would be a final approved to be published by the story submitters.

I hope to hear from you guys!

Tom

Are you writing for a magazine, newspaper? free lance? You'll probably get more responses if you're more clear about your purpose and your audience.

There are tons of success stories here (Welcome!) and many of them are really great :) Check out the success stories section of the forum, and don't forget to do the background research in the ECF library and at CASAA | The Consumer Advocates for Smoke-Free Alternatives Association

(my signature says all that needs to be said about my own success at completely replacing cigs with vaping)

It might also help if you tell us what you consider success... some people wouldn't consider quiting for 2 weeks (like me)long enough to be considered a success so some guidelines for that might help you filter responses.

I can tell you I smoked for over 20 yrs and was up to almost 2 packs a day and quit almost effortlessly... the only time I even thought about cigs was when I saw a lighter (I know kind of weird) and when I got a little dehydrated from not drinking enough and couldn't really taste much.

The day that I started vaping, I quit analogs completely. I was smoking around 55 cigarettes every day, for about 7 years. Before that, I had smoked for about 20 years, then quit cold turkey on a dare for 17 years, before starting up again out of frustration, as the e-cig wasn't invented yet. The "e-cig" has made it very easy for me to quit cigarettes. I'm not gaining weight this time, (30 lbs first month the first time I quit), my asthma is getting better and I'm no longer hacking up a lung every morning. My sense of taste and smell are returning as well. I'm so happy that somebody invented this nicotine replacement device. It works so much better than patches, gum or those stupid pills, (which I have tried) without the nasty side affects. I don't even want a real cigarette, and I like non tobacco flavors the best.
So, I'd say this has been a success for me.
