My father-in-law visited last Thanksgiving, and he had an Ego-T. From there I researched e-cigs, found the InfoPages here, and dove in. I've been lucky that I've just recently gotten the chance to pay that forward to other family members.
I've since sent tobacco flavor samples to my father-in-law (as well as extra attys, he had a vaping emergency with equipment failure but got through it fine), and convinced my father and cousin to order a KGO kit. I've made up Boges for them to try, and I feel like I can make learning to vape a lot smoother than it was for me.
Maybe most of what I tell them is just paraphrasing what I've read both in the New Members Forum and the DIY Forum, or learned from pbusardo (the man!), but if I'm "standing on the shoulders of giants", all the better. I feel like I'm getting some real value out of my journey into learning vaping, because I can teach others with ease. It's exciting!
And what's best of all, my father's got a brand new KGO still in his box that I'm going to introduce him to this weekend. He's a Swisher Sweets guy. I'm starting him off with a mega dual coil carto (even has a whistle tip!) with a nice smoky tobacco. I have my fingers crossed that he'll love it. Wish me luck!
