Such a thing as a e-cig that will put out vapor even when the cartridge is at it's end of life?

Someone I knew had one and it came with a vile of nicotine which you can refill in the cig. But even when the e-cig runs out of the liquid, it still created vapor. Naturally it was rechargeable as well. I'm fine with alternating from nicotine to straight vapor for a while until I get my refills. I would like to find one like this!

Does anyone know which one(s) I'm talking about??

Sounds like an "Ever Lasting Gobstopper"!

If it runs out of liquid, it cannot produce a vapor. It might make smoke, as it burns the filler or other material up and destroys it.

Now, you can refill most cartridges with just about anything you like, as far as nicotine strength. It will still need the base of either PG or VG or a combination of the 2, and nicotine can be left out of the mix.

LOL! Too funny :) But yeah, I would love to have something that lasts and won't cost as much as regular cigs.
I guess I was not fully informed about what created the vapor. What you guys explained makes total sense now.
So my next question..what do you recommend for an ecig? I tried njoy - God awful, smelly, taste like sh_t.

I was looking at the Vamo. Saw some rave reviews here, but not fully understanding all the gadgetry that goes along with it. I am leaning towards the liquid type rather than the throw away cartridge type, and loads of vapor! What do you guys use?

Got a VAMO and I mostly use 6ml Smoketech tanks, with low res duel coil cartomizers (the disposable part of the tank)
Got a GG China clone (mechanical PV) that I mostly use a X8 4.5ml tank (2 ohm single coil carto) on.
2 eGo-T Upgrade Mods (takes 18650 batteries, same as my other 2 systems) that I also use all the above tanks on as well as various clearomizers and dual coil cartomizers,XL and XXL dual coil cartomizers.

Add DID clones, RBA's and drip systems...

And then, double everything for the wife, plus an eVic for her (verses the GG Chine Clone..)

It's all going to be Greek to someone.. and you're going to have a time figuring out what you like!

Specifically, The vamo is a good priced Variable volt/variable watt system. Gives you lots of options to enjoy vaping your way, once you figure what your way is.
You might be happy just using one of the various eGo batteries with clearomizers, it's one of the best ways to start if the blu type doesn't cut it for you.

Also, as if my last post may not have caused your eyes to pop, You Have a Choice on Your Juice too!

And you thought this would be easy.. ;)

I'm currently using an ego-vv(3 setting) with a few Kanger T3s, a CE4, and a phoenix RBA dripping atty. I'm pretty happy with my setup though I'm looking at getting a twist or spinner for my next battery.

There are a lot of choices out there, but pretty much anything will perform better than an njoy, and there's a whole world of juice options to try. Good luck and happy vaping :D

Okay guys, this is what I have it narrowed down to - Smokeless Image | The Best Electronic Cigarette

Now, I need your help again. What in the world should I select for batteries!? Seriously, I had to go out and have a cigarette after looking at all those choices! What would you pick and why?
The flavors are also something I don't have a handle on. I don't think I'm ready yet for fruit, and as far as menthol - yuck. I'm a Marlboro smoker for many years and Marlboro light for the past several years. So I would like to stay with a more traditional flavor. And.... should I order anything else to go with it while I'm at it?

Thanks again. What a great community!

You will probably be disappointed with most tobacco flavors.. be open to trying other flavors.. I'm vaping flavors I never thought I would! And Loving it!!! I did start off with a very strong Cherry Cigar as I was a 2PAD Swisher Sweet smoker.. I hated it after a week! (and I had a lot of that juice, dang it!)

Errmm.. If you are choosing the Volt, that Is the batteries. 2 each cigarette sized batteries that you put the "filter top" on (cartridge and atomizer together..)

Just to be clear: they're all the "liquid" type. If you take one of your cartridges and pop off the top cap with a paperclip you'll see what looks like cotton shoved in there. That is soaked with the liquid. You can refill the cartridges just like you'd refill the clearomizers (the "liquid type" gadgetry you're talking about). Cartridges are cheap and can be refilled a few times. Clearomizers cost more and can be refilled and cleaned more effectively. Both can be refilled.

I looked at the link. It comes with batteries. I would suggest do some more research. The Spinner VV is a little thicker than the one you are looking at but we should really look into what may work for you.

First, let us examine how much you have been smoking. If you are a heavy smoker or used to be, you will want something with a little more "beef" to it. If you are a light smoker or used to be, a mini type or "cig-a-like" may be just fine.

Second, let us now examine how long you prefer to have the battery last. Batteries are rated by a mAh. The quick rough calculation is 100 mAh per hour. This of course is a rough calculation as it does depend on how you use it. If you work in an office at a desk, you may prefer to have a passthrough (generally these do not hold a charge like a battery).

Third, I noticed you said you do not want a "disposable" fluid holder or something. Nearly every cartomizer (one piece unit containing an atomizer (burning section) and a way to hold liquid) is disposable but can also be cleaned and refilled. There are clearomizers (like the vivi nova) that can actually be rebuilt if you are careful but typically have a tank section, wick and a head with the head and wick being replaceable when they are burned out. Proper cleaning out will help these all last longer.

Fourth, as far as juice goes: RY4 is generally one of the most favored tobacco flavor type juice. This does not mean that there are not others that are not good, just in general terms. One thing about tobacco flavored is that they will almost always let you down. No juice tastes exactly like cigarettes (though some come very close). It is also important to note, and hope somebody gives the link, that e-cigs are not "smoked"/inhaled in the same manner as cigarettes. I would prefer something like RY4 or a cigar/pipe tobacco to start (especially black cherry cuz it is sweet). My preference is my opinion and based on my tastes. I do like getting "dessert" flavored ejuice also because it really does not remind me of smoking...the more I keep with tobacco flavors the more I am inclined to keep smoking (yes, I am weening myself off cigarettes and going with the e-cig/apv).

I do think that you will like the EGO batteries to start. I don't like the EGO twist, but you may actually like it. The start up kit will also be much cheaper. The twist is a VV (variable volt) to enhance the vaping to your taste. Once you get a startup kit, then just get some juice. This will be a perfect way to start. You can find juices that you like and don't like and then later you can go to other types of equipment, different clearomizers, atomizers, tanks, mouthpieces, etc.. then maybe a different unit. I am using a VAMO v2 and love it (I will say not for newbies though as it is not very forgiving on improper inhale technique even on lowest settings).

Ask questions, remember no question is stupid unless it is the unasked question. And above all DO NOT RUSH.

Thanks everyone for your input.
@gjanderson - that's great advice. Especially about rushing. The idea of getting one of these has been kicking around in my head for a while, and now I'm ready to take myself up on it. So in a way, I do feel rushed because I didn't realize how how difficult the choices would be. My idea of an e-cig has always been like blu, njoy, and all the other commercially advertised types. I never heard of vaping until today to be honest.
To your questions about my smoking. I've been a 1PPD smoker for too many years to count. A 'beefy' vapor would probably be best. I appreciate your recommendation of the spinner VV. I googled it and see it is sold at a few stores. Can you suggest one that you use and is reputable? Also if you can, would you also suggest a particular kit that would be a good starter for me?

Many thanks

http://www.myvaporstore.com/Vision_Spinner_Joye_Ego_C_Twist_Combo_p/vvs-c.htm

I actually got my spinner vv seperate (not in a kit). My very first e-cig was the original KGO (version 1). I began using the spinner vv after being introduced to the KGO vv and was able to get the spinner vv at the same price.

This has many different options and the best thing to do (in my opinion) is to go through and look up here on the forum the different items. This is how I selected my vivi nova clearomizer was just looking at different reviews here on the forum. Use the search feature to find all posts/threads listed in the forum and see what you think.

No matter what you choose in this kit, you will always be happy with certain items and unhappy with others. It is these type of kits that do help us get started. Personally I would choose from the kit one Spinner and then maybe a EGO Twist 650mAh VV (both are VV). Choose different colors, this will get you two different types and even though many say they vape or feel the same, you may like one over the other. In truth, in basics they are the same. This does give many different options for the cartomizer/clearomizers and many like the Kanger, I have not tried the Kanger personally but do like many of the reviews. You will get a choice of 2 of these also. Choose 2 different types and the reason why is that while the battery units are the same they sometimes do make the juices taste different (same ejuice, same cartomizer/clearomizer, different unit/battery). This will really help you get started.

By having 2 batteries/units you can be vaping with one and have the other on a charger or on standby. Eventually you may even want to get another unit/battery to have more ready so you can have choices when vaping.

The only thing you will need is juice with this kit (it contains everything else). The spinner is the exact one I have used (I didn't like the EGO Twist cuz the dial to change the voltage seemed a bit small for me - but could have been the image also). The Vision EGO clearomizer is very much like the vivi nova, if I am not mistaken so you may like that.

My Vapor Store has been very good in shipping and I have been well pleased by their service.

Good luck to you.

looks good me. As long as you are able to enjoy it and it helps you replace the coffin nails. The Kanger may need tweaking, there are youtube videos that show what to do if there is leaking and such. Those that have experience may also help you further with that.

I think you got a really good start and after you get the hang of it (including the technique of inhaling properly), you will be very happy and may want to increase your inventory. I hope you enjoy the juices, please let me know how you like them. I may try them out as I have found a person who gets them in Thailand and has permission to sell them to those in Malaysia (they restrict juices only there).

While you wait for the items to come in, study up on them. You can go to youtube and do a search for the spinner and ego-c twist to see people doing a review and even bits of advice on them. You may even do a search for videos with the Kanger and the EGO clearomizer and can learn a lot that way.

Also do a search here and maybe know a good amount by the time it arrives.

Hope it helps keep you away from cancer sticks.

Thanks for the re-assurance. It wasn't easy to put the kit together not knowing what I might like and what I'm getting. I'm still a little apprehensive with my eliquid choices since those flavors are so out of character for me personally, but I guess I'll never know until I try them. I sort of wish I bought one more bottle since my choices if I run out are either getting them shipped or drive a good hour through traffic to the nearest vapor dealer in Saugus MA. But yes, I will absolutely let you know what I think of those flavors. I'll post here next week after my kit arrives and I had time to play.

Have a great weekend :)

Yep, always try different flavors and even different types (different pg/vg mixes) and such. I was a huge menthol smoker and never did like cherry flavored tobacco but I find the cherry cheesecase flavored e-liquid very good. I also like apple cinnamon, ry4 (when I want something like a tobacco flavor - usually mixed with a fruit flavor or something). I also was given a tropical something from a friend and really liked that (I don't usually like tropical fruit drinks and such). I found the best ones were typically fruit flavored and dessert flavors more than any of the others that I tried. I did find one menthol that was somewhat decent but that would be a last resort only.

Look forward to finding out what you think about those.
