I've been playing around with mech's and drippers..... My mech is a nemesis, and I find I set my mod down a lot, and locking the firing button is really annoying.

Would like to get something with a recessed fire button so I can instantly set it down without firing, and pick it up and fire.

I saw the 4nine, looks like what I'm after, though I don't know about a specific area to press (see the indent)
what others are out there? and whats the suggestions???? (links or pictures would be helpful, or at least names of mods/suppliers so I can google them)

Smok-E Mountain Vanilla is another good recessed mech. You can get it in stainless, copper or brass. Has a reverse threaded locking ring. And I think they sell a hybrid adapter as well. I love mine :)

The Vanilla is an excellent choice IMHO.....I have a copper one in 18350 and it performs wonderfully. The switch is recessed and will NOT fire if left stading up while unlocked....

Another great choice (although a little harder to get but not impossible) is the GP Paps v3. One of the best switches in all of vaping IMO....It too will not fire when standing up unlocked.... Vapourart lists them for sale every time they have a "Vapourday" which is once every month or two....

Ive got the magnets in my nemesis, 4 actually, 2 on top and 2 on bottom..... it still fires when you sit it down unlocked.

I saw the 4nine is always in hybrid mode, thats kind of cool..... I like the vanilla, and I said if I buy another mech it would be copper..... so I dunno..................... decisions decisions...............

Interesting. I can't even fit 4 magnets in my Nemesis switch and have it fire. Are you by any chance running an extended switch pin and the beauty ring on the tube?

I have 2 magnets in mine and it will not fire on it's own with a Taifun GT on it. Maybe just different magnets, idk. I got Mine from Deal Extreme.

As far as a recessed button mech, I have the brass 18650 Paps clone from Fasttech, and it's fantastic for less than $16. If you are more of an authentic guy, the switch has been said to be the best around by many on here. I can see why, even with my cheap-o clone.

There really isn't room for 4 of the FastTech magnets in the Nemeses they sell. Try just 3, 2 in the bottom, 1 reversed under the threaded brass part.

The beauty ring will make the mod too long. So you probably have the switch adjusted too far out which explains why you could fit 4 magnets. It also explains why you have the auto fire issue. With the adjustment so far out parts of the switch are touching that normally don't.

Loose the beauty ring, get rid of a magnet and adjust the switch for the shorter length tube and everything should work correctly.

Personally I like the touch just 2 of the FastTech magnets give but they are too weak to allow the mod to stand with any substantially sized atomizer.

Running your Nemmy with the beauty ring is your biggest issue. If you want to see about setting it down unlocked without firing, do what bsoplinger above said. Ditch the beauty ring, try 3 magnets in the switch, and tighten down the firing pin.

If you need to have the beauty ring on, you may need to actually use more magnets or use shims under them to get them close enough to each other to actually support the weight. It sounds like the way it is setup now the magnets aren't getting close enough to each other to do what they are supposed to do.

I went to my local independent hardware store (I've since learned that Ace are the best place) and found a matching Metric screw which sticks out of the top cap into the tube by about 6mm. This allows me to use the beauty ring. If you really want to also, you can do what I did, the best option is a set screw vs a standard screw. You could also go to fatdaddyvapes and get the extended Nemesis pin set he offers. More expensive that way but you're also not running all over town to hardware stores.

I have a launcher clone from fastech. I don't use it everyday because my kayfun looks silly on it with that bevel on top. Other than that its pretty nice, the switch is perfect. For $16.79 it was worth it to me.

I have the logo version clone from Fast Tech and it is great! I'm actually thinking about picking up the non-logo version as well.
