Hi all!

so, Ive enjoyed my REP Grand sl/lp for a few months now. Have a Atomic bf slotted and a RM2. Mostly use the RM2. my only issue is the continuing learning curve about when to sqonk, have I sufficiently sqonked, etc. nothing makes me put my REO down for a day or two.. like a nasty dry hit.

Has anyone ever created or thought of, a Clear Cap for the RM2? not sure materials can endure the heat and all.. but I've seen rda's with Clear tops. That would be SO helpful. I use the air hole when I can, but poorly lit conditions make that useless.

Thought I would ask, suggest, etc..maybe a more industrious REOnaut can come up with it? I'd certainly buy one in a heart beat!

You should get into a pattern of vape to squonk. For me that is three vapes per squonk.

For a full bottle of nearly 100% VG I need a 3 second press to squonk enough juice, 1/2 bottle gets a 5 second press, and 1/4 bottle gets 7 or 8 second press.

Now the problem I run into is forgetting how many hits I've taken since the last vape. This is were the blind squonk is great.
Turn the Reo so the air hole is down when you take a hit.
Draw in air while pressing on the bottle, (don't press fire button)
Stop when you get a slight gurgle
turn air hole up and vape away knowing you have a perfectly squonked coil.

EDIT: works great in the dark, in the car, one handed

If it helps, Rob sells a clear cap for the IGO W.

I have an IGO-W with a clear cap and I like it but it gets a tad hot on the DT with my chain vaping 3 bottle a day habit.

I can see the benefits of a clear top on a RM2 when learning the squonk.

I am still not a squonk master but I rarely get dry hits anymore. I have built the habit of watching the juice hole for the glimmer of juice. This does not work well in the dark driving so I revert to the 1-2-3 and vape method.

The solution is to get a LP Reo and then run a Nimbus or Igo on it. The problem with the RM2 is that it is a threaded fit, the others are a 'push it over an o-ring' fit. Much easier.

I'd point out that having broken various tanks thru my usual carelessness and neglect, having a solid metal atty with nothing to break has considerable appeal to me!

I still forget and get a dry hit every now and then. Usually I just give it a squonk when I think about it, but probably every other hit or so, sometimes every hit. I might be over-squonking, but haven't had any problems, just drains back down into the bottle anyway.

After a few dry hits I'm thinking this is the way to go for me at least until I gain some more experience. Dry hits are just plain NASTY.
