Hi there! I stopped smoking many years ago, but would buy a disposable Vape for when I was out with friends. Over the last couple months I've become a regular vaper and the disposables weren't working for me anymore. I bought the Blu plus Express kit. Overall I've been happy with it except for one thing... The price of the tanks. I've become a heavy vaper and I use at least one or two tanks a day. The tanks are about $5 a piece! I'm looking for a new system that is relatively easy with no fuss and no muss. I like the convenience of a pre-filled tank, but I would be willing to try juice if it's not too messy and confusing. Also, I prefer sleek device. I don't really want a large contraption that's difficult to maintain. If anyone has any suggestions they would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Charge it, fill it, vape it.

Endura T18 Starter Kit by Innokin

There are a lot of all-in-one type setups available now, all of which will save bundles vs. Blu.

Full disclosure: I started with Blu disposables, too.

Hello & Welcome...Endura T18 or T22 great choice for simplicity...Aspire Zelos is another great starter...I own both...The T18/T22 Tanks can't be beat for simplicity...The one draw back on the Enduras is the battery has a fixed output of 14 watts which produces a slightly warmer vape...I prefer it a bit cooler and use the Battery from my Zelos or an eLeaf iStick(30,40 etc.)...Also, the replaceable coils for the Innokins are dirt cheap and are quite robust in their construction...Long Life !!!...Can be purchased for less than $7 per 5 pack...

3 other links to the same company @Coastal Cowboy gave you...I bought my T18 from them...

Any of the pico setups can be good for MTL vaping and simplicity. Any of the T-version tanks can be good for starting out too, the only downside being fixed wattage, which may be a bit warm for some folks.

I'm a fan of the aspire zelos setup, comes in 50 or 75 watt versions. I got the 75 watt for my backup carry around tank, it's easy going, doesn't leak, and has one of the easier to use MTL tanks, the N2. I'd do some research on some beginner MTL setups and see what appeals to you. Using a tank and e-juice will likely be much less expensive for you, which is why I'm recommending a couple to check out. A good vape store could help you, but if you run into difficulties, we can help you trouble shoot online, but I think you will find things easier than you realize.

Good luck and welcome to ECF!

I’m going to echo what everyone else is saying here.

For me, I used a blu ecig, a Juul, then an icare for all in ones. I quickly did research from there and moved to my current setup, which I’m very happy with.

I have 2 Nautilus 2 tanks, one on the zelos battery, which you can buy as a kit. The other I have a TINY innokin coolfire pebble battery. This thing fits in your pocket, and is wonderful!

I love the Nautilus 2 tank, for a tight draw, and the 2 batteries I have should last me quite a while.

I use the 1.8 coil, which I bought for @$2.00 each, so far each coil lasts 1-2 weeks. I bought @25 coils for an initial purchase.

For juice, I recently started in VERY simple DIY. My mix is @$10 for 500ml, and the single mint flavoring I like is pennies. It comes to under $1 for 30ml. And this isn’t even the cheapest way to DIY, I just like to keep it simple.

Welcome and glad you joined.
At present, the way I read it, you are vaping a non refillable cartridge kit probably MTL.
If you MTL (Mouth to lung inhale) chances are you may want to choose a refillable cartridge kit.
re: Vaping and Inhaling: Everything You Need To Know
Might want to google: " vape: refillable cartridge kit ". (or " vape: Non refillable cartridge kit ").
The refillable cartridge kit should last you longer and save you money in comparison to the prefilled. With the refillable cartridge kit (size and power dependent), normal folks usually get a number of refills (varies by person, condition, etc.) until the taste of your juice starts to diminish.

I will chime in heartily endorsing the Endura T series for newbies. Like myself. Have both 18 and 22 and they got me off cigs, although that doesn't appear to be your issue. They will certainly get you started in the right direction. Great coils and easy to replace at a low cost.

My daughter and I started with Blu disposables, then moved on to Blu starter kits back in late 2011 or early 2012. The Blu cartomizers were refillable at that time - if you could find the right information. Try YouTube to see if they have information on refillng Blu cartos. As I recall, it was a bit of a PITA, so we kept buying pre-filled cartos. After a few months, we got really tired of quality control issues - out of a pack of 5 cartos, we were lucky to get 3 that actually worked. This was around the time that Blu was selling out to Lorillard. We invested in different cigalike starter kits - 808 - that were easy to refill with premade eliquids or even DIY eliquds. We were happy with those, but they still did not last as long as we would have liked, especially for my daughter when she was at work. After I found out about and joined ECF, I saw many positive reviews for Evod systems - this was in mid to late 2012. We saved, and eventually got ourselves a couple of Evod starter kits, with Protanks to use with "tank cracker" eliquids. We moved on from the Protanks to Evod Glass tanks, which we preferred.

You may want to look into an 808 cigalike setup if you are set on something that looks similar to a cigarette. On the other hand, Evods and Evod 2s are a bit bigger, around the size of a cigar, but perform much better as far as battery life. You will need to purchase coils and eliquid, but we found them much more satisfying than the cigalikes. If you decide to go with an Evod or Evod 2 setup, I would also recommend getting an Evod Glass or Protank, since the Evod and Evod 2 kits come with plastic tanks that can react to certain flavorings, most notably citrus and cinnamon, and can melt or otherwise self-destruct. My daughter learned the hard way why I ordered Protanks for both of us when we switched from cigalikes to Evods - she filled her plastic Evod tank with a Wild Cherry eliquid that was listed as a tank cracker on the vendor website (she did not notice it) just before leaving work to come home. By the time she arrived home, 30 minutes later, she had Wild Cherry eliquid all over her car, and a melted tank. Lesson learned. Listen to Mom.

At this point, we have graduated from Evods. My daughter is using a Provari with a Nautilus or Nautilus Mini tank - still fairly discrete, still a satisfying and relatively inexpensive vape. She prefers tube mods. I happen to like box mods. I use my trusty CoolFire IV with Nautilus Mini tanks. Satisfying, pleasurable.

Whatever you decide on, relax. Enjoy. Play with your vape. Good luck finding something that you like and will satisfy you. There are still plenty of options available.

Blu are not much short of total tobacco company rip off garbage.
A tobacco company that meddled with the vaping laws in Europe for 72 million people need to hang their heads in shame.
However, if it works to get people off smokes, it's not all bad... I guess.

I would be very careful with small all-in-one Pen ecigs as many aren't that great. Even one of my favorites, the Joyetech eGo AIO has issues with premature coil burn.
The Innokins seem better to me.

+1 on the Endura and the iStick/Nauti combo. You'll like either, I think, and neither is big. A unicorn bottle-- Chubby Gorilla is the best brand IMHO-- is a great help to reduce the mess from the juice. I know, I know: just Google it. You'll see. And the way to really save money on juice is DIY. I make my own. There's a learning curve, of course, and it can be time consuming to fine down the recipe to exactly what you want, but once you have that done it's no harder than making a boxed cake, and you don't have to bake it. Welcome to the board.
