Suggestions/Questions for a new 510 user

Hi all,

I'm brand new to the e-cig scene as I received my 510 today. I have a question about usage and charging etc. I currently have two 510's that came in the kit 5 blank carts and a PCC.

Right now I have the first battery charging for 8 hours which won't be done until 11 tonight. I'll use for the recommended 20 mins. then says to charge again for an hour. But I'll be pressed for time as I have to get to bed, as I get up at 5am for work. Would it be okay to charge for 6.5 hours use for 20 mins. Then I'll be able to charge for the last hour and be on time to switch with the other battery for it's first charge? Will I bugger the battery by doing this?

I got the PCC because I work out of a truck and rarely near AC power for the charger to be useful at work. As you all may know the PCC holds 1 battery, 1 atty with cart attached and 2 other carts...if I fill the carts, cap them and just use the one batt and atty would this be sufficient for me throughout the day? I tried the 510 quickly once I got it and I can't see myself chain vaping so the PCC should be able to keep the battery charged good...yes/no?
Also I'm not all too keen on carrying around A)another 510 in my pocket to rotate batteries and B)carrying juice with me to keep topping up. I usually smoke about 10 analogs throughout my work day to give an idea of what my intake is.

Any thoughts whether the PCC full with everything it can hold would be sufficient? Do the carts dry out throughout the day?

Sorry for the long drawn out questions but don't want to short change myself if I don't have to.

Thanks all.

Sub.

For one thing. If you have the one battery in the wall charger that came with your kit, put the other battery in the PCC and charge that as well. As the PCC is charging it will also charge your other battery. You'll have two red lights on the PCC - one is the PCC's internal battery charging and the other is the ecig battery charging. When the ecig battery is charged that red light will simply go out. When the PCC is charged (about 4 hours) the other red light will turn to green. If you're going to take the PCC with you in the morning leave it charging, until you go and don't put another ecig batt in until one is out of charge. When that happens, it will take about 40 minutes to charge that battery once the PCC is disconnected.

If you smoke 10 analogs, you should be good with what you have. And yeah, you could have a few carts in the PCC. Most likely you won't need another atty but as long as there's a space for it you may as well carry that too.

As far as topping off - you'll likely need to do that sometime during the day.

Thanks for the reply Kent.

Good idea on using the PCC. I didn't realize you could charge both the PCC and ecig at the same time.

My idea initially was to bring 3 full carts 1 atty and 1 battery. Take say 10 puffs or so like I would with my analogs, put back in PCC to top up the charge and 45mins to an hour later do the same. Now obviously I'm no expert I was hoping 3 full carts would last me from 6am to 3pm doing this routine. If you guys advise me to bring a topper bottle then so be it. Was just kinda hopin not to slug around a bottle in my pocket. But c'est la vie I guess.

More thoughts and ideas are always appreciated.

Thanx

You could just try the 3 full carts and see if that works. I have a small camera case that I carry on my belt (Lowepro Ridge 20 - buy.com) that just fits the 510 and can carry a few bottles of juice. Then there's the pelican case from innovapor.com that has the small bottles for that case. I wouldn't carry the 510 in the pocket, but you could of course.

My husband uses only pre-filled carts and smokes about like you do -- Only on breaks here and there throughout the day. He says one cartridge lasts him all day, with no topping off (he hates that). Obviously your mileage may vary, but it's definitely possible. I'd bring 2-3 prefilled carts to start with and see how that does you. You'll find out fast what you need to make it through the day.
