Did you ever do this as a kid? You go to Dairy Queen (Tasty Freeze in some areas) and order a slush with all the flavors. We called it a "suicide," and sometimes it would be "attempted suicide" where you'd pick and choose the flavors, but at least three or four.

I'm wondering what I'll do when I have dibs and dabs of e-juice left over. Not enough to pay forward, maybe a mil or two in each little bottle.

It's not truly DIY, but here's what I think I'll do.

1. Sort flavors by nicotine content. VG/PG proportion isn't as important to me as it is for some, so I won't worry about that.

2. Within each nicotine level, find complimentary flavors: Orange, lemon and a little lime or cherry might work together. Various tobaccos, especially if I juice them up with a bit of menthol could work. Coffee/caramel/chocolate flavors would combine nicely.

3. Shake well and vape.

What do you think? Has anybody else ever tried this? If so, how was the resulting liquid?

Just wondering out loud.

Merry Christmas!

Currently vaping with a Joye Ego batter+PT combo, KR808D-1 and occasionally, my E9.

Some of my best DIY flavors were "born" in just this manner. Sometimes even because one flavor on top of an atty filled with another was enough to spark my interest in mixing those flavors. You will be surprised what flavors mixed together make a totally different flavor. Sounds like someone may be getting the DIY bug....watch out it is contagious and highly addictive!....LOL
Have fun, happy mixing and happy vaping!

To answer your question, yes I have. There is a possible problem with doing this, you may create your favorite flavor! Just a heads up, anytime you mix ANYTHING be it DIY or premixed juices ALWAYS write down what you do. There is nothing worse than stumbling across something you absolutely love and not knowing what all you put in it!

Of course I would know NOTHING about this, someone told me they did it.:p boB

BoB, you won't believe what I've added your Tootsie Rolly to. Heh heh. It really jazzed up a couple half-gone coffee cartomizers. heh heh....

Your advice on keeping records is well-taken, but not very likely for me. As a blind vaper, the amount I throw into the slop jar would never be exact. hell, since I can't read the labels on juices I order, every fresh vape is a total surprise (unless I have a vaping buddy near to read the bottles o me. This is one reason I usually order the same nicotine level (18 mg./l or 24 mg./l).. I can tell the nic level from taking a couple puffs. I recently acquired a couple 36 mg. Mint Julep cartos... 'bout blew my head off. LOL.

Believe me folks, it's always an adventure. I can often tell by aroma what kind of juice I'm about to vape, but some flavors have misleading scents before they are vaporized.

Ah well, life is an adventure, ain't it? <grin>

Hope everyone had a lovely Christmas. Thanks for the replies.

i just started vaping about 10 days ago, and i have mixed the flavors since the beginning! i had ordered several different flavors with my e-cig kit, some were pg some were vg. i quickly found out the pg is too strong by itself and the vg i can barely notice other than lots of vapor. so i now have a list of different flavor combos written down, making sure it is 50/50 pg/vg. it actually works out quite well this way.

just today i placed an order with a new supplier that sells the juice with the 50/50 content. i think it will be a little easier this way.

Monsterkitty, I know what you mean.

Actually, I generally go heavier on the VG for flavors that are supposed to be sweet, but heavier on the PG for the tobacco, menthol, mint and coffee flavors. My ideal for a fruit or dessert vape is like 50/50, but for the aforementioned coffee, tobacco and menthol/mint flavors, I prefer 80%PG to 20% VG.

One thing I have done is to slightly (a few drops) cut juices where I find the PG is too strong. Thanks to Librizing, I have a couple little bottles, one of PG and one of VG. Conversely, I'll throw a bit of PG into a juice when the throat hit isn't enough.

I don't mind the slightly reduced nicotine content, but sometimes it dilutes the flavor too much if I add either VG or PG. When I order from Gourmet Vapor, for instance I request double flavor to compensate.

Right now I'm dripping some 24 mg. Vapor Bomb Cappucino. It's a bit harsh for me, and I'll probably dip a few drops of VG into the bottle to soften it a bit.

To the member who suggest that a new DYI-er is ready to be born... you may be right. LOL

I do this all the time usign 2-3 flavors, but only in small amount, 3-5 ml. Sometimes I add a very few drops of the VG I got at Wally World to up the vapor.

Not too long ago I bought a few juices in the classifieds and was quite disappointed. I think they are old, bad or no taste to them. I would not PIF them to anyone if you paid me (btw this has turned me off to and am now very leery of buying juice privately).

I got 90ml of TV cherry doubler and it doesn't taste like cherry. I also got some colas that DO NOT taste like cola. Then again I got some new cherry from MV and it tastes like the TV doubler, quality sure does seem to wane, or is it just me?

I have really been thinking now from this thread about just mixing EVERYTHING and see where it goes, Viva Le Russian Vapor Roulette!!!

I will post if I try doing this before I go through with it and if you all don't hear from me for a week afterwards, call the local authorities here to make a welfare check on me.

My latest experiment, other than my first try using menthol crystals, is to refill partially depleted cartomizers with flavors I think will be complimentary.

I have some FSUSA Applewood. I wasn't impressed. However, injecting a bit of the Applewood into a carto that still had some 555 in it turned out great!

I have a 30 ml. mixing bottle with a glass dropper in the cap. This will now be where I dump dibs and dabs of like-flavored juices.

Oh, and another thing I've discovered is that some juices are great added to almost any other flavor. An example of this is BWB Malty.

I have two cartos going right now; one on my PT is pure 555. The other on my KR808D-1 manual is my own blend of Hilton with menthol crystals. Both are excellent.
