I've been thinking about doing my own contest for a couple of weeks now. I wanted to make sure that I did a contest that would not only be fun for the ECF members, but also do some good.

We, as I mean, all of us were once new to this thing called "vaping". The majority of us were smokers looking for a way out or reduce our intake of tobacco. We wanted a healthier and less harmful alternative. We were all fortunate to start vaping and find this site. ECF is a great support structure to meet, commune and learn.

The prize is meant to help someone else, who may need that extra bump to change from smoking to vaping. You may know someone who needs the prize or you may need it yourself.

With all that said, this contest is for the following:

COMPLETE JOYETECH 510 BEGINNER KIT

This kit is all someone would need to get started on their way off cigs and onto to something better.

HOW TO ENTER:

Here's how to enter. Each ECF member may make 3 entries per day. Please label entry: "Saturday #1, Sunday #1, etc." No one sentence or one word entries will be accepted. The topic that must be discussed is "How vaping helped you and how you want to help someone else get into vaping."

Spread the word about the contest to your friends if you would like.

LENGTH OF CONTEST:

I want this to run for one week. The contest starts today, Saturday, October 6, 2012 and will run until Friday, October 12, 2012 and a winner will be announced on Saturday, October 13, 2012 via random.org selection.

There may be a runner-up prize, but I haven't decided yet.

Gogo, thank you, i'm planning on doing something like this myself when I can. This is my saturday entry number 1) I'm entering for my Fiance's father... We got her mother off smoking and onto vaping and she loves it! Her dad was skeptical at first, but we've got him interested.. Unfortunately I can't afford to buy him a kit right now... nor can he afford the startup since they're practically in poverty at this point... I just want to help everyone around me who smokes!

This is my Saturday entry. First let me say thank you gogoplata, this is a great thing you are doing. I just got back from the Bark Park where I gave away my last kit and e-liquid to a new Vaper. My wife and I really love to help new Vapers get started. We are both very thankful that we discovered e-cigs and were able to quit smoking. We are very thankful for the members and moderators/staff here at ECF and we are very thankful to the generous vendors who hold contests that enable us to win kits to help other smokers break free from the habit and become Vapers.

Saturday #1 This is a perfect kit for a new vaper! The 510 is what made a difference for me. I been able to pass along one 510 kit to help someone get started and ready to do it, again.

Satuday #1: I got off cigarettes using the Blu. I quickly learned my nicotine habit required more. I gave my Blu kit to my friend, and it isn't working for her either. I would love to give her this kit, much more complete and it will allow her to finally throw the cigarettes away as I did.

Saturday #2: Since I gave away the only spare kit I have, I would love to have a 510 kit to give to my friend who introduced me to the Blu. Last time I saw her, I had upgraded to the eGo and given my Blu kit away to someone else. I saw her smoking and asked her how the Blu was working out? She said "Oh, that thing. It always needs charging". This 510 kit will certainly be appealing to her as it has a nice case and she is into "bling". My only dilemma if I win is which friend needs it more?

Saturday #1 Vaping is improved my health so much i can't believe it. A lady I work with really wants to quit smoking but is very cash strapped right now. She isn't a heavy smoker, but has said she would like to try vaping instead of cigs. I'd like to give her this kit if I won it.

Saturday #2.

I quit smoking with a simple 510 kit, and it did the trick. I was never successful at quitting until I tried vaping. I know this kit will make the transition easier for whoever gets it. Perfect for a new vaper to try it out and see if it can help.

Again This entry is for the fiancé's dad who has shown interest, and apparently even started researching a bit. He's not a very heavy smoker, but spends a lot of time at the computer smoking, so I'd like to get this to him so that he can finally break away from the habit... This will also make this house completely smoke free! (The next step is my dad who is completely against it)

Vaping has changed my life for the better.
I don't feel ashamed that I'm smoking when I have kids that I'm supposed to be providing a good example to.
I don't have to hide from them when I have a nic fit.

I work in Hospice and would feel a level of betrayal to my patients when I smoked a cig.
I cared for people dying of COPD and lung cancer and yet I was participating in the same behavior that was contributing to their deaths.
Now that I'm vaping, I don't feel that way anymore.

I don't smell like smoke.
I don't have to immediately come inside from smoking and wash my hands, brush my teeth, and take off my 'smoking jacket'.

I don't have to worry that I'm exposing my family to chemicals/carcinogens from 2nd or 3rd hand smoke.

Thirdhand smoke is a relatively newly discovered phenomenon... I just quit about a month ago and am already feeling better, when I get to the top of a staircase, I'm not huffing puffing and lightheaded anymore! I don't feel like I'm 50 when I'm 21 anymore... though I still feel bit older than I am.. lol. Again I just want to help as many people as possible quit smoking... If I were rich I would give away at least 100 eGo's a month to people looking to try vaping!

I can breathe better for one! This is a great thing you are doing.
My sister and her boyfriend are interested in vaping and I would love for them to switch over. I'm living with my boyfriends parents right now, however and can hardly afford my own habit.

I don't pay as much! I'm vaping about seventy cents a day vs two packs a day which would be like 14 dollars here.

Saturday #2 - I now have a very young friend (18) that has been smoking for awhile....She notice my ecig and became very interested, I gave a disposable I had and now ready to get her a set up and I'll get her started pronto.
